Arrived at 9 pm to have a quick bite and a drink was told the kitchen was closed I was under the impression that the restaurant/bar when I called @ 8 pm was told that they closed @ 12 midnight, this disturbs me ATTITUDE, new renovations but they need an attitude adjustment...not happy.....

My boyfriend and I ended up in Thornbury our way home from Bala Muskoka. And one of the back roads took us into Thornbury. We parked at the marina and offloaded our bikes and on we went to explore. It was the Sunday of the world cup final and we found Bridges Tavern so needless to say, we found lovely... More

Wine was great. However the calamari were tough and in a broth which I did not care for. Should I be in the area again I would give it another try.

Hidden away but worth finding! We stopped for lunch as we were passing through. The wait staff was friendly, food was very tasty and they had a nice selection of beers.

One of those locations where the food is way more than you might expect from the outside. I thought we were on to something when the front and side lots were packed with vehicles. We went twice, the first mean being fresh pickerel tacos (walleye) for my wife and pulled pork for me. The food is all locally sourced and... More

The food and draft beer were quite good, but I didn't expect Italian food to be as spicy as Thai. Despite the remark, I would visit the place again if I am in the area.

Bridges was recommended a few weeks ago, so we gave it a try. It is across the way from The Mill restaurant right at the bridge. At first glance an old century home, would not really want to eat inside, outdoors much better, great view from anywhere on the patio. Menu is not extensive, but asked what was popular. My... More

If you are anywhere near Thornbury and feeling peckish, this is the place for you. The Wild mushroom and leek brusohetta on toast is amazing. The beer battered fish & chips are one of my favorites, with, of course, the sweet potatoe fries. Everyone I have taken there was pleasantly please and has gone back. My son-in-law is Indian and... We come from Brampton, Ontario, It was a beautiful night, and we -2 couples- decided to go to the Bridges Tavern for drinks.
