The name "Dam Pub" does not necessarily draw your attention as a place for a fine dining experience but it is just that! My wife and I visited during the summer while vacationing in Ontario. After several people recommended that we try it we decided to check it out. I lived in Edinburgh, Scotland for a year when I was... More

Visiting the area from Kelowna and decided, based on Trip Advisor reviews, that this would be the first place we went for dinner and very glad we did. So glad that we are going back tonight for the Friday night lamb special. Service is above and beyond, meals are amazing and big enough to provide lunch for the next day!... More

After arriving in Thornbury from the Wasaga area, we were surprised at the array of restaurants and shops on offer in the quaint "downtown" part of the town. After reading the reviews, we decided to stop at the Dam Pub. We were excited to try the "gastropub" and try the range of taps. Frankly, I have to wonder, why was... More

We visit every time we are in the area with the whole family, kids and adults. Great home cooked food. Fantastic fish and chips and bangers and mash. Prime Rib Sundays are the best. The whiskey menu is huge with tons of choice. Very friendly and excellent service.

Went with friends who said that the place was reviewed by "You Gotta Eat Here" on HTV. The lamb shank was recommended by the show and I can see why. Fantastic meal, huge, home cooked portions. Was a wonderful meal and inviting place. Tried the whisky-sooo smooth (and I am not usually a whisky drinker!) Very close to Blue Mountain.... More

It´s hard to find words for this experience... There is only one word that can describe the whole evening *** MAGICAL***. Everything tasted very well - especially the selection of the whiskeys was amazing! The barkeeper Bruce was THE man! He was very polite and very obliging. His passion for whiskeys was contagious. He absolutely did a great job! There... More

It's a gorgeous, sprawling white house at the top of the hill right in Thornbury. We waited just a few moments for the people to pull out and got a spot right in front. We were greeted and taken to our table in a small room with maybe five other tables along with the bar, behind which we could see... More

The Dam Pub is without a doubt one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Suzette is an incredible chef whose food reflects the down-home style of her cooking, and her wonderfully welcoming personality. Her love, appreciation and talent for creating delicious food has very clearly been instilled in her from a very young age, and it shows... More
