Good food and entertainment

The Dam Pub offers locals and tourists a fine menu as well as a large assortment of whiskeys and other alcoholic drinks. I went to this pub not only for dinner but for the fiddling entertainment. Excellent venue for food, drink, and music!

I and my family ate here twice this week I would highly recommend a visit to The Dam Pub in Thornbury Ontario Canada. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Foods very good and portions are more then most people can eat. I have dietary needs and the kitchen staff went out of there way to accommodate me. I've been... More

What a delightful dinner we had here mid Week with family and friends. The special was Muskoka Ribs so two of us ordered that. I had the lamb shank, one friend ordered the burger with gluten-free bun and two friends tried the shepherd's pie. Everything came out hot and delicious from the kitchen. The meals were generous and tasty and... More

We went here for lunch and had a cheese platter and a Ploughmans Lunch. Both were simple well prepared and delicious.

I had a great dinner while travelling solo. Delicious food, friendly staff and the bartender even found a scotch I would like. I highly recommend this place!

Phoning late, we were told that the pub restaurant was sold out for the evening; however, we were encouraged to come anyway and see if we could find a place at the bar. We were able to get seats within a couple of minutes of our arrival; what was intended to be a quick stop for dinner became a lengthy... More

We had a great lunch in this Scottis-style pub in Thornbury. There were seven of us, including grandparents, parents and children. The service was great and the food delicious. They had a great menu, and if you're into Scotch, they have Over 700 varieties. I'd recommend a visit here if you're in the neighbourhood.

I've tried quite a few dishes at The Dam Pub and each and everyone has been amazing. I think my favourite has to be their prime rib and yorkshire pudding. My husband and son are both gluten intolerant and they love the fact that they offer gluten free buns and pasta!

We have been going to the Damn Pub for years and have enjoyed its friendly atmosphere. Although the food is generally good, its inconsistent each time we visit. We went to the pub the other night and waited over an hour for our food. I ordered fish and chips - the fish had batter not unlike pogo stick batter. The... More

Thank you your review which gives us the opportunity to respond. Our oil is changed more often than is necessary. Tina has displayed a great sense of humour over the past 9 years with us. We think you took offence needlessly. You did not wait over an hour for your food. Before posting this management response we asked you for... More

My favourite restaurant in Thornbury. Good size portions. Reasonable price. Fresh and homemade. Friendly staff. You would never expect a pub to have 5* quality fresh food that's all made from scratch. Over 700 whiskies to boot!! I have found I have to make reservation in order to get a table with larger groups or on busy days.
