Normand gourmet cuisine at it's best!

It is not a starred restaurant for nothing. Situated in the middle of a picturesque village (classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France), the restaurant offers traditional French cuisine which is authentic and refined. A must for a complete Normand experience

(+): service is perfect, waiters are kind and the chef takes the order himself (+): nice location (+): a candle for my wife birthday :) (+): little "mises en bouche" here and there, always appreciated (-): we were seated just next to the wine fridge, making a terrible noise (the same as a soda frige) (-): no ambient music, making... My wife and I am had dinner at this restaurant and really like it. The service was great, the food was good and the setting that beautiful village is quite hard to beat. It was also great to stay in the restaurant's B&B 2 minutes away. All in all a pretty great night. That said, I agree with other reviewers... More

This small restaurant is in a beautifully restored typical Normandy building in the quaint town of Beauvron-en-Auge. The service was impeccable as we dined on a three course menu for lunch. We chose the specialities of the day which were a delicious macaroni stuffed with mushroom and flavoured with truffles. The main course was local poultry and my dessert a... More

Whilst staying at Le Pave d'Hote we dined here with our two teenagers and had a wonderful experience. Every course tasted delicious served by passionate, professional waiters. We enjoyed the meal so much that we returned again during our five night stay. You must leave room for the wonderful desserts. Perfect for a special meal.

Having found our recommended restaurant closed, we were 'obliged' to eat here as the only one we could find open. It was indeed a grand place and our first impression was it was far to smart a place for an English couple in holiday clothes. However the maitre D made us very welcome and we opted for two menu meals... More

We have been to this restaurant several times over the past years and it is always an absolute delight. Chef Jérôme Bansard's passion and love for his craft transpires in every detail. Very carefully sourced produce, always seasonal and needless to say extremely fresh, make up his dishes which are a contemporary take on classic flavour pairings. Beautifully cooked and... More

Set in an old Normandy style house in the centre of a picture book village, the gastronomy lived up to its setting. We took a degustation menu providing opportunity to taste from each other. The dishes were elegant with excellent produce. An array of amuse geule provided an overview of the chef's skill. We relied on the sommelliere's suggestions for... More

One of the best meals we've had in all of France - over the last 13 years of visiting! Le pavé d'auge is not to be missed if you appreciate relaxed fine dining along with impeccable food and service. Allow yourself 2.5 - 3 hours to truly enjoy one of their meals. We come to France for the food, and... More

A quiet group of tables on decking opposite a few shops - The lunch Menu delivered by a smartly dressed maitre d' looked simple but sophisticated - good Normandy stuff. We ordered our drinks, and the chef came to take our order in detail ................. then the fireworks began !!! Truly the best three course lunch we have had in... More
