Simply Fabulous

The restaurant is beautiful - only in St. Bart's is dining outside under palm trees the best way to start a fabulous dinner. My husband and I had the chef's special - Turbot for two and the passionfruit souffle for dessert. What an experience. The Turbot was filleted table-side with a spoon and... read more

The food at L'Esprit was very good. Although I have to confirm the previous comments regarding selection. For someone who does not eat fish or seafood the choices are very limited. We choose the tenderloin which was cooked to perfection. Unfortunately the service was a let down. We had to pour the wine ourselves and had to wait over 15... More

Very limited selection from this famous chef who spent over 14 years as chef of On The Rocks. No daily Special and for someone who doesnt eat fish or seafood the choices are minimal. They had ran out of beef tenderlon so it was either sweetbreads or pigeon ( my choice). The plate was so small ( also the duck... More

You sit outside under the stars and trees in a very romantic setting. The restaurant is next to saline (the former salt lake) so do put on a bit of bug spray before coming. The service and food were one of the best we had on island. As we wanted to try more items, we had a few appetizers instead... More

We always head for L'Esprit our first days in St. Barts. The chef and staff are quite wonderful and the food is excellent. Olivier greets us as family upon each return, and makes us feel very welcome.

I am sorry to disagree with many of the reviews here, but I am a foodie spoiled by NYC and much worldwide traveling. First, in contrast to reviews I've read, the service was wonderful, attentive and full of smiles. The seared foie gras was outstanding. The duck spring rolls, while well flavored, were way too salty. I had the Ris... More

Do not miss this restaurant if you visit the island! Everyone local we asked recommended it and it was absolutely fantastic!

This is one of the best overall restaurant experiences in St Barts where the bar is very high to begin with. The service involves every member of the staff visiting your table, and these are the same people from year to year, which means they really care. The food itself is so good it can only be described as euphoric.

We were looking forward to a special dining experience on on the last night of our trip. We were sorely disappointed. The food was good but the service can only be described as indifferent bordering on rude, and nothing about our experience warranted the prices charged.Perhaps we were spoiled by our prior night at Le Tamarin. In my mind L'Esprit is... More

My wife and I dined here twice this week, for lunch. magnificent! Our cocktails, Grey Goose vodka martinis with a twist, refreshing. Our starters, the chicken spring rolls, over the top. Soooo tasty! Our bottle of Sancere wine complemented the grilled scrimp main course for my wife, my main corse was the sautéed calmarie with Thai rice. The calamarie melted... More
