We were on our way to a different place when we stopped at L'Esprit because our first option was closed. The restaurant is beautiful, nice open space, but still very cosy and welcoming for a rather big place. The prices are definitely on the higher end but all our meals were delicious, I have to say. We had the tuna,... More

My husband and I decided based on the reviews here on TA to leave dine here our last night of our week long Thanksgiving vacation in SBH. We had built up quite a bit of anticipation and were looking forward to good food and good service. What we got was lack luster at best. We arrived for our 6pm reservation... More

Had dinner here on a weeknight and were the first diners to arrive that evening. We were immediately informed that they were out of several of the items that were on their very "limited" menu. After being told what was available, service was spotty. This wasn't my first rodeo, being my third trip to St. Barths, but this place is... More

Lovely outdoor ambience. Small tables with a light. Umbrellas above. Efficient, nice staff. Gourmet. And the chef is in sight through a kitchen window. Nice presentation.

We were greeted warmly upon arrival and brought to a nice table. Multiple people greeted and came to take drink orders, etc. Although service was a little slow and frenzied, it was clear that there was an attempt to accommodate us, and our group of four were having a great time. My mahi mahi arrived on a very hot plate,... More

Decades of travel to over 40 countries and weekly dining in the New York City area have given us a good idea of what to expect in restaurants at differing price points. From that perspective, it’s difficult to understand how this place stays open (though we offer a theory, below). We do have one good thing to say, but that’s... More

We just finished the most magnificent meal at this wonderful restaurant. Our experience was ideal in all ways, the staff was friendly and welcoming, the food perfection and the cocktails surprisingly unique and delicious. Highly recommend the crab salad, the tuna tartar, the beef tenderloin and the raspberry macaron dessert. We will change our dinner plans to make sure that... More

My husband and I have had the pleasure of eating at L'Esprit many times. By far it is not only the best food on the island but in the caribbean. When you think of the limited ingredients on the island the quality of the food and the delicious taste a picture of real prefection emerges. Food matters to us more... More

Had a great time eating at L'Esprit. It was highly recommended by our taxi driver when he dropped us off at the beach. Really good local food for a reasonable price. The chicken in the coconut sauce was awesome. I recommend anyone traveling to St. Barths to try it once
