Good for drinks and great for food

At first glance, this place looks like a roadside bar--but don't let the casual atmosphere detract from the menu. We had dinner here for 5 persons and we all enjoyed our food--calamari and octopus dishes were great and we enjoyed our bottles of rose and ti punch. I also went back just for drinks... read more

My wife and I have eaten at this restaurant almost every year since it opened. The food was always good and the price was moderate for St Barth. However, the past two years we have received poor service - almost totally ignored - while all the French customers were prioritized. Conclusion: If you're not French be prepared to be ignored... Le Piment is literally right on the road at the St Jean roundabout. This place is popular with locals who seem to take a long lunch to cool down and get out of the sun. The staff are extremely friendly and all speak English. The prices are St Bart's standard, but the food is fresh tasting. We had cheeseburgers, which... More

Good sandwich place, open air. At the roundabout in St. Jean, close to the Black Swan, Andy's Hideaway and close to the Pharmacy. Definitely not in Saline. It has good burgers and sandwiches. Many locals hang out here.

We always have dinner here the first night we arrive on the island. While it isn't the best food or the best location, we love it all the same. Always filled with a number of locals (and therefore occasionally smoky) we recover from our day of travelling listening to French, sipping wine, eating perfect frites and delicious fish specials that... Our salmon lunch was lovely, the waiter familiar and friendly enough. When the bill came, we were charged a 30% up charge for using AMEX. It seems to be a locals place and they really could not care less if you are happy.

Have a drink or choose something to eat, the menu is limited until the evening, but enough choice for most. Cocktails are really good

We were on island for 2 weeks and returned here 4 times for drinks and tapas. Located on the round about, it's a intimate and friendly place. The staff could not have been nicer. I suspect France took all the nice people in their country and moved them to St. Barts. Everyone speaks English however, don't be rude by not... More

Was there for lunch yesterday and was greated with rude service and spoken to like a child. When we asked a questions to the waitress because we were shocked a local restaurant didn't offer the same lunch specials just about every other place does. Instead of being polite the waitress said "obviously you aren't from the island" and proceeded to... More

A small, somewhat noisy spot at the round about in Salines. Outstanding tapas and excellent mahi mahi both served with a big smile by our waitress, Bene. The portions were more than ample and were washed down by rose for only 4 Euro a glass. Do try the clams which were wonderfully garlicky and a bargain at 6 Euro. We... More
