Excellent service and food. Each dish had a level of 'wow'. The treats of the palette cleansers right through to the final course were beautiful. The teas were beautifully presented and accompanied. My advice is to get there.

We were expecting a good meal, but you surprised us with quite beautiful and wonderfully tasting dishes, a most delicious meal!!! We dined at L'Auberge Basque on the 15th evening of a trip which was a food and wine extravaganza ... mostly Michelin 1-star restaurants, and a 3-star. At L'Auberge Basque we had 3 of the most memorable dishes of... More

Our second visit to this wonderful restaurant was every good as our first last year! The setting, with the mountains and hills as a backdrop calms the senses as the sun slowly sets through the trees with the wide rear of the restaurant open to the elements. The staff are fun and attentive and the arrival of four amuse-bouches before... More

The food, the service, the location, the friendly staff, the wine. A unique dining experience. Let the staff choose your food. We did. It was the right decision

Impeccable food and service really made this a wonderful dining experience for us. I was actually quite surprised to see reviews here on TripAdvisor that were not 4 or 5 out of 5 but I'm very happy I decided to ignore them and try L'Auberge Basque firsthand. My feeling is that this menu might be too challenging for some diners... More

Tried different menus over a couple of days last summer. Not cheap, but def not the priciest either. Bechada likes to use some unusual and interesting spices to mix into classically styled dishes, and probably: so will you.

We actually stayed at the Auberge Basque, we really like the decor and feel of the place. Very much An upmarket bed and breakfast with additional hotel like services, but very nice. The food itching tried very hard but there were certain elements like the Monkfish was too chewy (monkfish is difficult to cook, but that's why it is best... More

We are staying here with our two 22 month old twins sons (I thought I would write this while staying here - free wifi and confident that we won't be let down). We have been upgraded FOC to accommodate the two travel cots which have been provided by the hotel. The view on the back lawn looks out over the... More

We stayed at L'Auberge Basque specifically because of food reviews. The inn is just off a busy road. Be warned that you will need to carry your bags up 2 or 3 flights of stairs. There is no porter. The rooms are elegant & with a well appointed although small bath. Our room was very small, but each room is... More
