Decent food, well presented and tasty - though didn't blow my mind. Prices were reasonable and service good.

Was a little dubious at first as there was no children's menu. Fear not! Children get the amazing choices of the same menu, giving excellent variety, just a smaller size. The fresh and crunchy veg tasted like it had just been pulled from the garden, the fish melted in the mouth and the hand cut chips had you wanting more.... More

Great little find. Fab food and very helpful staff even when we arrived with a baby in a pram and a 4 year old! A must try if you are in the area.

Thank you for being so kind to open up for my mum this morning so she could use the facilities. She was desperate! If we pass through later we will definitely stop for a meal.

A great evening with friends to celebrate a birthday. The mussels are amazing as are the chips. Don't need chips and bread with them though, one or the other or half and half would do. The whitebait was very good too. Too full for dessert this time.

Not been this place in 20 years and found what I have been missing, it is an excellent eatery, food is just brilliant and well presented and proper home cooked food at that. Staff were very helpful too, typical main course is about £10 and sandwich menu averages about £6, I will add some pics to this review

I went to the Travellers Rest today, with family, having been to Frodsham Market, and looking on Tripadvisor for local places to eat, came across amazing reviews for this great place. On walking through the door, it wasn't over ally busy, but straight away, a member of staff, who was already serving at the bar, welcomed us, and took us... More

Popped in for Sunday lunch. What a delightful treat. The food was delicious, hot and fresh. Very good value for such standard. Pity I'm not local or I'd be a regular.
