Great choice - hearty food!

It was my grandads birthday and he took us all to here as he said he had found it at the end of a long country walk (don't ask!). It was really lovely! There was 12/13 of us and we were all really loving all of the food - super tasty and the staff were lovely, attentative and cheery... read more

Had a lovely pub lunch at this Frodsham pub. Nice atmoshere and staff, a little bit of a wait for the main coursr but all cooked fresh to order and well worth the wait. Food presented well, hot and very tasty ...a small cup of soup and a steak bagette with salad and a steak and ale pie with beautiful... More

We stopped here in the middle of a days rambling for lunch. Very good service and real ale to boot. Happy days. they do a lunchtime special which includes various sandwiches a cup of chips and a small cup of soup. Its very nice indeed, and my steak sandwich was a veritable meat feast. I recall it was around £6,... More

We have eaten here twice in December 14, first was lunch which was great. After such a good experience we booked here for a pre Christmas meal with friends and it was lovely. Our starters were delicious (onion bhajis, black pudding, goats cheese) and our mains (Ham hock, steak, Thai vegetable curry) were stunning. Almost the best bit for me... More

We ate here while we were glamping at Lady Heyes. The place is decorated beautifully. Staff are very professional and friendly. Our food was delicious, couldn't fault it at all. Would definitely go back and would highly recommend it

It's not huge, and the smallish car park can sometimes looked packed, oddly even if the... More

Nipped in on a cold Tuesday afternoon after going on the coronation street tour with a few friends. Gorgeous inside and out, nice open fire to sit next to which was lovely! Service was brill. I ordered braised beef, mash and seasonal veg, which also came with a cute basket of skinny chips on the side. Was a very generous... More

My wife and I have eaten here a few times and they never fail to impress. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We had the homemade soup and king prawns for starter and both were lovely. For mains we had the rib eye seasoned to perception and the ham hock. Sadly we couldn't manage a desert after the generous... More
