I last went here a few months ago the food was great and service great but lastnight the 22nd July we had to wait 15 mins to get a drink as the waitress forgot to bring them the menu Wernt as good as last time and I asked for rare medium but was more tough.... The mixed grill needs to... More

I visited as part of a group of four. The Old. Hall is better than a lot of pub restaurants but I think it has some way to go to provide a "fine dining" experience. On arrival we were sat in the "cosy" lounge but I felt the furniture and fittings were bordering on "tired". Some of the seat coverings... More

My husband & I shared an exceptional dinner with good friends at the Old Hall. Our normal eating haunt in Frodsham used to be the Helter Skelter which has sadly gone down hill. The Old Hall building itself has lots of character & the interior is very pleasing on the eye. We drank in the small bar/lounge area prior to... More

The Old Hall Hotel and restaurant sits very comfortably in the center of Frodshams main street and has done so for a couple of hundred years. As you would expect the atmosphere in the restaurant is also comfortable, quiet and relaxing The food is good and wholesome with a service that is very efficient and with no fuss. The whole... More

My wife and I shared a wonderful meal at the Old Hall hotel and restaurant recently, we found the food exceptional and the service was speedy and friendly. We particularly like the time we spent in the comfortable select lounges set out with sofas and arm chairs. Winter time these lounges have open fires making for a snug after dinner... More

Very disappointing - went for a belated mothers day treat, very poor. Sandwiches were ok, cakes ok, but the scones were very rubbery and as far as I was concerned inedible. As our party had two vegetarians with us we had to ask for an extra portion of cheese sandwiches (as there were two lots of fish sandwiches on our... More

Always excellent and friendly service& even better home cooked food. Good portion sizes and varied menu mean regular visits give a great chance to try several meals, all of which have been superb.

Went on the 12/03/2014 to treat my mum for her birthday. Starters were obviously cheap supermarket buy in bulk rubbish. 3 of us ordered mix grills and we couldn't finish them because the pork products were uncooked. Complained to the manager and he wasn't interested. Have taken the matter up with environmental health. Oh and the mixed grills were 20... More

I've visited the Old Hall many times over the last 20 years but this recent visit for Sunday lunch with a large faimly group was the first time in over 2 years. The reception area still has the look and feel of an 'old hall' but the restaurant seating area has been refreshed to more modern decor. The staff coped... More

Upon entering this divinely, old establishment, it's charm is immediately noticeable. The furniture is old and comfortable. Cold days there's a fire burning in the fireplace so the crackling adds to the atmosphere. I've been there for lunch and dinner. Lunchtime the menu is simple but good. Usually order the salmon with cream cheese. Reminds me of eating a bagel... More
