Still a wonderful special atmosphere at the Jarrerie. The 3 course menu was excellent value and the food was absolutely fantastic. The pleasant attentive service made the whole evening just perfect.

We have been to La Jarrarie a few times in the last five years and it has always been such a treat but our latest visit was not. We knew something was up within minutes of arriving, pizza on the menu and "plat de jour" blackboard on the door (for plat de jour read stuff we need to get rid... More

I've visited this restaurant several times in the past, and always found the service superb, and quality and choice of food excellent. Unfortunately the La Jarrerie has completely changed, the atmosphere is cold, the staff weren't welcoming, there is a tacky list of cocktails, of which our party tried 3 and found them to all be awful, and garnished with... We visited this restaurant on 20/7/14. We had spent the day driving around the mountains and happened to come across the restaurant at about 9pm in the evening. There is a small, free car park on the other side of the street opposite the restaurant. The waiter was very friendly. I speak basic French and the waiter spoke basic English,... More

This is an old building on the road not far from Chateauneuf de Grasse direction towards Tourettes sur Loup and St Paul de Vence. The inside boasts old rock walls and a massive fireplace, which is no longer used. There is a cute outside eating area where you eat shaded by the large trees. I like the place and find... More

What a disappointment. We cannot fault the food it was excellent. But oh the service! It was unwelcoming, the waiter was indifferent, distant and very unhelpful. The atmosphere was appalling We were given a menu with three formula choices and after spending some time trying to translate and making our choice we were told it was unavailable with out any comprehendible... We had gone to this restaurant annually a few times on every trip to this area of France. It is rather mediocre now in april, 2014. No where like it used to be since the ownership changed. It used to be a very classy place with wonderful French food at great value. Now they have pizza and it is just... More

The restaurant is fantastic - out in the middle of nowhere, but full of character, and fantastic views of the pre-Alps and down to the Mediterranean. 29 of us arrived for lunch, pre-booked, and they served us with a fantastic meal - almost the best of our week on the Cote D'Azur. They even allowed me in to the kitchens... More

Stumbled upon this restaurant on our way to Vence in southern France. An old monastery that has been beautifully kept. While it has an amazing outdoor terrace, we were taken by the interior and decided to eat inside. Lunch was excellent and very reasonably priced. The staff spoke little English, but they were very helpful and accommodating, particularly when they... More

We had heard so many good things about this place that perhaps of was inevitable that we were a little disappointed. The place itself is very atmospheric (we sat outside under the canopy of trees) and the service we recived impeccable. But the food, while certainly good, was pretty unmemorable and certainly not at the level we expected. It was... More
