This is a great Café whether for an early morning Croissant and Coffee, or an excellent value lunch, the daily specials are to be recommended, and you can reserve a table (If you’re quick!). The beer is good (Heineken) and deliciously cold! The service is at the same time efficient, speedy but polite and friendly, and although there is an... More

Visited here several times, a classic French pavement cafe with excellent coffee in a busy French market town - nice staff and very atmospheric.

Stopped here for a break whilst riding through France. The coffees are served in a lovely LARGE cup which makes a refreshing change ! Tried the omelette and the croque madam, both of which were excellent. Nice shady seating area outside.

Visiting Riberac market we were longing for a good sized coffee, spoilt by the size of Costa's offerings! Throughout France coffee is now sold in Italian sizes, Super Tiny, Tiny, not so Tiny. At the Bar du Midi it comes in those lovely green octagonal cups, a good size and served by the delightful staff, Christophe adding to the joy... More

Usually spend some of our summer hols in Riberac and this is always one of the first places we visit. Coffee and croissants are great and the hot chocolate and milkshakes go down very well with my son. We have had lunch here on a few occasions and it has always been delicious and reasonably priced. The best thing about... More

We called here to have a coffee on the first day of our two week stay in Puygaud and were immediately met with the friendliest warmest welcome imaginable. It then became a regular stop of for us for either breakfast or lunch or just a quick coffee/beer. The food is lovely, service and staff first class and it has fast... More

We first visited in early January on a cold grey day but received a very warm welcome, a superb lunch, and an even better dessert. We returned last week as a party of 6 after a walk at Lac de La Jemeye where the Bistro was full at 13.00 and unable to seat us. We were not disappointed - good... More

If you want to step away from the hustle and bustle but still feel a part of it, the sitting area is set up outside so you are nicely to one side of the busy pavement. It is ideal for having a coffee or beer while you chat and watch the world go by. The staff are very friendly and... More

Cafe culture just doesn't get better than this. Whenever we're in Riberac we head for the Midi for coffee and pain raison or beer. Friendly, relaxing. Take your time and enjoy.
