It's a set menu, the ingredients are chosen locally and to what's in season The couple Nedia and Philippe are both very welcoming. Philippe is the cook and Nedia frot of house Always happy to... Enjoyed a very fine meal here owned by a nice family that made us feel very welcome. Food was well presented, fresh and very tasty. Desserts were very good! A very pleasant experience, a little on the pricy side, but could find no fault with the food. Would recommend.

This restaurant is situated in Riberac the end of the main high street. We visited Le Commensal for Sunday lunch and we found the owner and staff extremely warm and welcoming. A high chair was provided for our little grandson and our table had been reserved for us just as requested when we made the reservation by phone. Food took... More

We enjoyed 2 excellent meals during our stay and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Day 1 we had a soup starter which was delicious, followed by duck in a honey jus and a chocolate gateau. Day 2 we had a duck salad starter, followed by Roast Beef in herb jus and a gateau and glace. Both meals were perfect and the... More

We went to Le Commensal restaurant on our last night during our stay in Riberac, I only wished that I had gone there earlier so we could of made several trips. The food was stunning served in simple and pleasant surroundings. The menu isn't vast but I could of chosen any of the 4 starters or main courses. We sat... More

Traditional, but up to date food, using local ingredients from the market (catch the chef on a Friday in the Market and follow him around, he knows all the best places)

An excellent meal for 25. Nédia and Philippe helped to arrange and produced menus to choose from. Always smiling, always helpful and the meal was a great success with good food, good wine and a buzzing atmosphere. Too easy to miss this restaurant but with lots of parking to the rear it is well worth a visit at lunch or... More

This was such a lovely surprise. From the outside you think pretty ordinary but go over the threshold and a very warm welcome awaits you with some superb cuisine. We sat outside admiring a beautiful sunset as we were served delightful food and drank lovely wine.

I was VERY happy to find this lovely restaurant this week. It is slightly away from the main area, but well worth finding. There were two of us, we do not speak the lingo. The LOVELY lady understood us well enough though and us her. The previous reviewer has told you so much about this place so I will just... More
