Nice cosy place for lunch with friendly staff. Menu was varied. Bit disappointed that the fish that came with the fish and chips was breaded rather than battered, but the fish was tasty. Worth a stop if you are passing by.

This unassuming cosy little cafe serves Italian and Indian style cuisine and was very good they use locally sourced ingredients where possible. I had a curry which was cooked fresh and was superb, they spiced it to my taste. My wife had a chickpea curry which she said was one of the best she'd had anywhere. It was reasonably priced... More

Appears as a little tea and shortbread cafe which it certainly is not. Combination of Indian, Italian with a few Scottish selections with friendly service. Food is a bit variable; pasta and shortbread so so but their Scallop pakora was easily in the top three dishes I have eaten this year!

Best Indian food we have had in a long time, the Barra lamb was delicious as was the vegetable pakora. It also does non Indian food.

Excellent curries with friendly and helpful service. Especially enjoyed the sweet prawns and tender lamb. Would choose this restaurant over many in London. Better view too!

Excellent. Innovative menu combining Indian food with very good local sea food. The scallop pakoras were as good as they were unusual. Friendly with fantastic location overlooking the castle in the bay and great music on the CD player

This is genuinely the best Indian meal I have had in years. The food was superb. We shared scallop and vegetable pakora to start, both of which were delicious. The scallops were cooked perfectly and were large. For main we had chicken saag and lamb jaipuri, both delicious and the portions were very generous. All the food tasted great and... More

I booked a table for 2 for 7.45pm and arrived there on time. Upon arriving I was told by a sullen girl that somebody was on our table and so she seated us at a table for 4 until these people had left. After a while she asked if we just wanted to stay at that table I wondered if... More

Small and perfectly formed - with just terrific Indian (and Italian) food. A great welcome, clean and comfortable with seriously good background music. Welcoming staff and then came the food.............! As everybody else has said - you just must have the scallop pakora which was so fresh it was probably still flapping as it went in to the pan. The... More

A tiny Indian/Italian in a tiny village on a tiny island on the western fringe of Scotland - what's not to like already? Don't expect the snappy and super efficient service you'd get from a city restaurant, but do expect to be greeted warmly by an amazing little group of staff who's chat and warmth light the place up and...
