We have shared a few lunches and evening cocktails at The Dominion with friends and family this past summer and fall. The patio is spacious. My favourite is the Turkey sandwich and their sweet potato fries are great. My husband and son like the wings! The general mixed crowd and friendly staff, often with live music lends itself to a... We visited the Dominion Hotel at first looking for a room. They were full. After a cruise up and down the main street, we decided to return for dinner. At 7 pm on a Friday night, things were pretty slow, a few tables of locals inside as a band was getting set up, and a few tables of tourists on... More

The food is good but the service is slow. We went there twice for lunch - first time we waited over 45 minutes for our lunch. We had 6 people. The second time we were skeptical about doing it again but liked the food so much we returned 6 people but the service was better and got our food in... More

Big restaurant that appears to be run by just two people and a cook. Everyone was waiting a ridiculous time for food, we waited 20 minutes for drinks! One family of five got fed up and walked out after a Long time. After all that time, I couldn't believe that fries tasted like they'd been sitting all day. The rest... More

Stopped here briefly as we were passing through on a motorcycle tour. Good selection of local and national brands on tap. Served quickly and nice and cold. Didn't eat but the food passing our table looked and smelled great. Waitress brought us a cold bottled water for the road and I was sad to leave the comfortable surroundings. Will make... More

4 of us on a very hot Tuesday Wing Night. I can understand that the main dining room is opened to the outside patio and can't be cooled down, but lets a/c the other dining room, even if it takes a window unit or two. It was not a comfortable experience. We couldn't wait to get out of there. The... More

Super little bar in small-town Minden! Great sweet potato fries too! Went one thursday night for trivia night. The trivia was good but the service on trivia night is not so good. We've eaten in the dining room and on the patio a few times and quite enjoyed it.

My in laws stayed at the hotel for 2 nights last week while we stayed at a cottage close by. Their room was lovely with 2 Queen beds and nicely decorated. They said it was quiet and comfortable. We ate at the hotel and the food was good - large portions. small kids menu.
