Wing Night Visit

4 of us on a very hot Tuesday Wing Night. I can understand that the main dining room is opened to the outside patio and can't be cooled down, but lets a/c the other dining room, even if it takes a window unit or two. It was not a comfortable experience. We couldn't wait to get out of there. The... read more

Super little bar in small-town Minden! Great sweet potato fries too! Went one thursday night for trivia night. The trivia was good but the service on trivia night is not so good. We've eaten in the dining room and on the patio a few times and quite enjoyed it.

My in laws stayed at the hotel for 2 nights last week while we stayed at a cottage close by. Their room was lovely with 2 Queen beds and nicely decorated. They said it was quiet and comfortable. We ate at the hotel and the food was good - large portions. small kids menu.

We popped in for the fish dinner special at 6:00 pm on a Friday and they must have had a busy day because we got the last of the fish. It was tasty but we felt bad for our neighbors who couldn't have the fish or the nachos (also ran out).

Live music on the Saturday we were there, and we really enjoyed the Kitchen Jam! My Blue Cheese Burger was completely delicious, and so huge I had to cut it in two to even TRY to eat it! Waitress was friendly and as quick as she could be (we were seated just before a group of about 20 people arrived!)... More

The Hotel looked run down from the outside, But my wife and I were hungry , we decided, to have some lunch there. The location of the Dominion Hotel is on a river and right downtown Minden. The lunch was very good, the server was excellent. One more thing: they rent rooms out too, which are very good ..

Extremely slow service, by the time we received our food it was cold. The cheese in the nachos wasn't melted and the fries in the poutine were cold. We ordered two appetizers and didn't get served for half hour while being one of three tables. Someone carved the word "HELP" in the table, we should have left after seeing that.... More

Came in with my wife, sat down on the patio. Server lady (the blonde one with piercings) was chatting with her friends on the patio, complaining about her job. WOW No a acknowledgement of our arrival. Sat there for some time, new guest arrived, she came over to her and asked if anyone will be joining her, than went to... More

I had heard a few good things about the Dominion (mostly self-promotion) but had never tried it. We couldn't get in to the Pepper Mill Restaurant (packed!) so we decided this was a good time to try the Dominion. Our first seat ended up being directly beside a band who were on break and when they came back we were... More
