Very impressed by the warm welcome on arrival. The hosts are genial and easy going but know how to converse with customers. The accommodation in the cottage was beautiful; the décor and ambience was just right for a feeling of seclusion not far from the city. The cottage was clean and the linen, towels and guest house coats were crisp..... More

My daughter's sixteenth birthday was celebrated at the Two Sisters and a Chef restaurant in Mundaring last month on the 15th August and it was a mouth watering experience for all of us. Every meal was devoured by 4 children and adults alike. Having visited may good restaurants including the Loose Box I have to say that we all thoroughly... More

We had read the reviews but decided we would give it a go for our anniversary, we had never been too the Loose Box so had nothing to compare it to but I think we know good food. The building is beautiful and is decorated in keeping with the building and that's about it as for the food somebody had... More

We were told that the beer that we wanted, the steak that we wanted and the crepe suzette that we wanted were not available that evening, as they had run out. The whole fish had also run out, fortunately we didn't want that! The waiter looked the part, but unfortunately we didn't seem aware that a good waiter doesn't clear... More

Two Sisters and a Chef (Chef is husband of one of the sisters) is located just out of Perth and offers great food and accommodation for that special night. Only opened 3 weeks ago and already I suggest it is getting a "following". We were greeted by one of the sisters and after helping her button up her apron (much... More

Food and service is quite good but I have had better. Servings are small and overall much too expensive. Drop the prices and stop catering to the Rolls Royce/Ferrari set and it would improve. There are better options around Mundaring for a good meal. Having said all that it still stands as the "special" place for meal out.

This restaurant is so good I do not feel that I can write a review that could do it justice. For 30 years The Loose Box has been on my list of places to visit, I wish we had made it sooner because then we could and would have repeated the experience, alas, from the end of July there will... More

What a magic place. Great setting in Mundaring, a little out of perth. The food and service are exceptional. What a shame it is closing the doors.

This restaurant is well out of the city but can be reached by bus. The cuisine is French and quite outstanding. It is not cheap, but is worth every cent. Be sure to take a look around the kitchen and gardens.
