worth a visit

Took the grandchildren here for lunch. Welcoming and helpful staff food was great. Also spent time in the garden which has a nice setting. Lovely Tea rooms too, which were very handy for the ice creams and cuppas. Would definately recommend a visit

I went to the Chequers with my aunt and uncle, my wife and our two young boys . The pub is generally very old with a more modern restaurant area and a spacious garden. We sat inside and were well treated by the waitress (nothing was too much trouble - even rustling up macaroni cheese for our two boys!) The... More

Visited for lunch with four friends and 2 small dogs, what a most welcoming pub. The menu was varied and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was also very good. Not that busy but that was fine. Our reserved table was ready and waiting for us. The food was delicious and plenty of it. Will definitely... More

We stumbled upon this place by accident on our return to Sussex. We all opted for the steak and kidney pud and fresh vegetables. Quite the best ever! There is a tea shop attached to the inn where breakfast and afternoon tea is available to non residents. They open for breakfast at 7.30AM which is great as so many establishments... More

My wife and I Popped in on the off chance for lunch. Warm friendly and good food. Our waitress Vicky was hard working and fun. She gave me a discount of 1p off the bill because I told a couple of jokes. This place is worth trying😅.

A Group I belong to arranged to have lunch for about 20 people following a meeting in the area. The table had been booked but when we arrived there were not enough places for everyone and an extra table had to be added. There was a pensioners menu consisting of two courses with choices ranging from roast turkey and all... More
