Perfect caribbean evening

Our last night on the island and what a great find! Stayed at the Marriott and whilst found it a good base to explore chose not to eat here based on early lunch experiences. This restaurant has a beautiful location and fantastic food all at a 12 dollar taxi ride from the hotel. The service was... read more

Had a very very very expensive lunch. Fish costs more here than in the marriott. The chairs cost more than anyone else other than Carambola -$20 or $25 depending on a day. People at Ship Wreck are much more welcoming and friendly - cheaper food and chairs.

We went to the Jam Rock at S Friar's Beach, and, asked if we could rent chairs, we were told that the cost was $25 US for the day. That is substantially more than we paid anywhere else on the island. We told them that was more than we had paid anywhere else. He told us that all the places... More

Grabbed a taxi from the Marriott to get a taste of fresh fish / island fare. The restaurant had a nice friendly vibe, and a very attentive staff. We ordered King Fish, chef prepared Mahi Mahi and jerk chicken for our sons. Chef Michael stopped by every table to say hello and inquire about the meal. Definitely a casual eatery... More

So you're on Carambola Beach in St. Kitts and you've got some choices for eats. Jam Rock has a reputation for great Jamaican food, so it was our go-to spot while lime-ing on the beach. We got lucky on a table out of the sun (step 1) and got a drink order in right away (step 2). Drinks took 10... More

A few of us were looking for a local boat-to-table place with a low-key atmosphere, and were recommended to Jam Rock. Turned out to be a great recommendation. We arrived right at the end of sunset, and the open air picnic table basically on the beach with a backdrop of the sunsetting over the ocean was about as idyllic as... More

Great authentic local food, terrific bar. Give the Shipwreck and Carambola a rest and go here. BBQ ribs were tender and the onsite sauce amazing. Jerk chicken very spicy so be prepared for that. Nice friendly staff, good view, locals eat here.

Beach side casual restaurant. Excellent food and restaurant located on the Caribbean. We arrived to see sunset - awesome. My wife and I had BBQ ribs and ginger garlic shrimp - absolutely delicious!! Our server, Karen, was very hospitable and attentive. Had chance to talk with chef and owner, he was very friendly. We would definitely come back.

My wife and I decided to spend a day on the calm (relatively) Caribbean side of the beach, but needed lunch first. The Marriott recommended Jam Rock and we were very excited with the choice. It is really just an open air shack on the beach with a full bar and covered picnic tables, but the food was just as... More
