Disappointed too!

Nothing wrong with this restaurant but nothing to lift it above average. Very good, crisp, fresh salad but at €9 it should be. Gambas al ajillo, large prawns in hot garlic and chilli oil were plump and juicy but NO garlic and very little chilli. The delight of this dish, having eaten the prawns... read more

We chose this restaurant because of the name it has for fish Paella. on arrival at 7.45 pm we were the first to be seated. we ordered a starter to share, and a fish paella for two. the starte arrived and was very good. too much for one person - we had made the right choice to share. We then... More

The staff are very friendly here and can speak French, English or German if you need it. It has views of the marina and outdoor seating. We ordered patatas bravas to start (€4) and paella valenciana (€12 each for 2 people) and they were easily the best that we had tasted in Spain. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This is the best option in this small town. Great food, helpful staff and reasonably priced. We had the seafood paella which was more than enough for 2.

Great food and charming service, the first visit we had the 20 euro menu and could not fault the variety of the food presented and the quality, service always with a smile and with our little French and there little English we had no problem communicating. Second visit we both had steaks which were grilled as requested and melted in... More

Catamaran is in a lovely setting overlooking Benicarlo Marina and appears to be very poular with local people. Menu's are available in several languages and we chose the tapas selection @15 euros and were presented with 8 well cooked portions of a good size which were brought to the table at staggered intervals,a sweet and some drinks are included in... We have been there twice now and both times we have found the staff most friendly and helpful. The food on the menu del dia @ €15 was a great selection and cooked perfectly. The mussels where definitely the best we've had in Spain and the paella was a terrific change from the usual 'shellfish & chicken variety with pork... More

Overlooking the Marina, this restaurant was very quiet when we arrived for lunch but rapidly filled with locals. We chose the tapas selections 1 and 2 and were well rewarded with beautifully cooked portions of a good size and brought to table at precisely the right time. An excellent selection which would help non-spanish visitors a lot of worrying about... More

visited twice during our stay in the area. Saturday evening and Sunday lunch. Restaurant was busy with locals a good sign. We first chose the tapas menu which cost 15 euros each and included wine. All the dishes were fresh and well presented excellent value. For Sunday lunch we chose paella prepared with monk fish and peeled prawns which again... More

This is an excellent fish restaurant on the marina of Benicarlo. Reasonably priced menu with freshly prepared fish and/or rice dishes. We arrived during the octopus food festival and had the tasting menu. This was outstanding. The service was good with a very friendly waitress. This is a family run restaurant with great food.
