Great little unimposing Restaurant, the food and wine are top quality. Try the chateaubriand or the salt baked fish. Beautiful.

Remembered as the 19th Hole many years ago, inconspicuous roadside restaurant which is bigger and better than it looks from the outside and well worth turning round if you go past it and taking the time to eat there. The menu contains many items which have been long forgotten on this coast - black pudding, sweet breads etc. The pork... More

I should own shares in this place, I have spent more here than on my house over the years... If you want a good spanish meal then please go here...!!! Food is great, service is good, wine list excellent. It is not the cheapest in the area, but it is in my opinion the best for a very long way.... More

In a pleasant enough dining room seating about 40, run by Matra’D Juan and Chef Antonio we lunched on a chilly April day. One needed to study the diverse menu for some minutes before selecting from the many temptations, including the 9 Chef’s specialities Eventually our party of four choose for starters: Burgos Black pudding, Mushrooms in Sauce, and for... Just had Sunday lunch at this wonderful restaurant. Suckling pig cooked to perfection for both of us. We were advised not to have a starter as the portion of all courses are large and it could be a bit much. Choose the recommended red wine and it was superb. A lovely pudding followed with free liqueur shot to follow. Not... More

Being a Kentucky guy who loves Spain (been there 6 times) I had the good fortune to visit San Rafael with friends who have retired to the area this past November 2013. It was perhaps one of the 2 best meals I had during a 16 day vacation in France and Spain. The Rabbit I had may have been the... More

Went with friends, we all had suckling pig, wonderful. The food was good, so was the service. The inside was clean and a good ambiance. Would go again.

We were staying this trip near San pedro but we couldn't miss our favourite restaurant. Always have an excellent meal there. We were not disappointed, will be back on next trip at Xmas.

The classical restaurant serves a variety of delicious dishes with of course the '"especialidad de la casa "' which is fantastic!! The best fine dining experience you can imagine in the Manilva area. .But don't forget to make your reservation. We hope to enjoy San Rafael 's excellent experience once more next month. We have been going to this restaurant for five years now. Food and service are first class. Meals are plentiful. You won't go hungry here!! Huge portions. We could only manage two courses. I had prawns and avocado to start followed by fillet steak which was cooked to perfection Free shots at the end of our meal most welcome too.... More
