We had dinner on two consecutive evenings, when staying at the Villa Ticino next door. All the specials (written on a portable chalkboard) are delicious and well prepared. Limited but good selection of wines. The service from Catherine was outstanding.

Over the last eight years we have visited the Wild Fig for lunches on each of our four visits to the Hazyview area. Restaurant was within walking distance of our accomodation and offers a selection of typical SA-dishes and a good winelist, all at reasonable prices. Serving staff was extremely friendly and helpfull. A very nice dinner experience. For those travelling on a strict budget : the Woodmans pub across the street serves pubfood.

Easy parking outside, great choice of vegetarian options, this cafe/restaurant offers all day breakfasts to suit every tastes. We were not there in the evening to check out the evening menu. Friendly service, good food and a shop next door that was the only one we found in weeks that sold african artefacts that were not in every shop and... More

Stopped for a light lunch and coffee. A lovely big verandah and the most fantastic African menu including warthog carpaccio, crocodile curry, kudu goulash and lots more. But best of all the ladies working the tables were so friendly, happy and helpful that they really make the place different to other venues. Definitely would highly recommend this if you are... More

It is not very often that one dismisses a place because it doesn’t look appealing from afar, as it is literally sitting on top of the parking area. My ever indulgent partner and I throw caution to the wind and set out to enjoy its outdoor seating area all lit up with rustic paraffin lamps and happy laughter echoing in... More

I had the mezze of ostrich and crocodile kebabs and warthog carpaccio, my husband had the springbok stew and my in... More
