We spent a week in Santarem with friends who are locals and this was where they took us for our final meal. Nossa Casa is one of the best places to eat in Santarem. Located close to the riverfront, it serves regional food with a modern touch, mostly fish-based. Fishes to try are the tambaqui (flesh tastes of fruit) or the pirarucu. I personally like the caldeiradas (fishstews). Also good caipirinhas.
