Great beef, but expensive

So you go here for the beef. If you've gotten tired of the beautiful grilled fish, and you crave a steak, here's the place to go. The decor is a bit odd, glitzier than the rest of Formentera (built around an indoor pool) but service was good and the food very good.

Immediately across from the entrance to the Marriott Courtyard, you can see an Italian, Argentinian, Peruvian, Chinese, and "Typical Food" Costa Rican...along with Hooters. The advantage of Caminito Argentinian is that it has a menu combined with and using the same kitchen as Sabor'd'Italia...and this is a great combination of choices. We ate also at the Peruvian...go here instead. Excellently... More

Felt the need to write a review of this place as we almost didnt go due to some negative reviews on here. Such a nice restaurant.. Food was amazing, i had the cuchilon & my boyfriend a steak that was delicious. Staff was super friendly & attentive.. especially one waitress with short hair & glasses was so polite!! Not sure from where to start from. We decided to go there following some other excellent reviews of this place. Our experience here, however, was very disappointing. I went there with my girlfriend - who is Argentinian, so we believe we know what 'good meat' means. The 'parrillada for 2' was scarce (1 chorizo for 2 people!?), cold (nothing to... More

I've never heard of Iberian Prime Pork until this dinner. It was excellent. Never had pork like it before. It was absolutely amazing. Now, there are a lot of reviews that say this restaurant is expensive. But, if you are pinching Euros, Formentera is not the place to spend you holiday. This is definitely the high end restaurant on the... More

Caminito was one of our favorite restaurants on Formentera. We ate here 3 times in 10 days. The setting is beautiful- al fresco tables around a pool. Excellent service from all of the employees. The meat is fantastic- none better on the island. ~Food cooked perfect~! A mix of Argentinian specialities, along with other options--- but come here for the... More

The title says it all! The rump steak cooked medium rare was as tender as warm butter! and flavoursome too. The accompaniment of a small baked potato and some roasted root vegetables was pleasant but don't bother considering anything else you come here for meat. We did share a nice enough starter of goats cheese with guacamole which was good... More

We've been going to Caminito since it opened, and some of our meals there have been excellent. They are open out of season and serve a number of unusual dishes, which makes the restaurant extra-special in Formentera where many places close after the summer rush and where food can be a bit 'samey'. However over the last two years we've... More

If you ever visit Formentera, one of those lost paradises in de Med, and wish to taste great meat this is the place. Beautifull restaurant arround a pool with awesom views over a lake. Good and nice service,

Good meal, meat is ok, erhaps really argentinian, we had two beers, one mixed grillada, a starter, all for €100: too much. The restaurant is average, a little kitch with a central swimming pool and several tables around it. Not noticeable at that price.
