Our guide, Dominique, recommended this stop and we were not disappointed. My wife had a cheese salad and i had a fish dish. Reasonable prices and fine quality.

We stopped here for lunch while touring the cider route. I started with a small green salad then had veal chop with mushrooms for my entree. The veal was very tender, the mushrooms were plentiful and the pan fried potatoes were excellent. I am not usually a big potato eater. The sauce for the veal was rich and tasty but... More

This place is very charming and ideal for a nice lunch or dinner. The service is good and the taste of the food is absolutely authentic. Wonderful country cooking in this little side-of-the-road restaurant. We came for lunch and had a table on the small terrace. The salad with home sautéed potatoes and chicken gizzards was amazing. Genial hostess, and fussless service. Recommended.

We were driving around the Caen/Ouistreham in Normandy on a August Saturday evening decided to look for a restaurant but assumed that all the coastal restaurants would be full and remembered that someone mentioned this restaurant, and pleased they did. We hadn't booked so it looked like we wouldn't get in, however as another poster said there was a dining... More

We absolutely loved our experience. It was full to the max when we arrived and we thought we were out of luck but the second floor was open and had several spots left. Filled with families, couples and tourists we listen to the bustle of the restaurant and sipped on local wine and cider. We ordered cheese heavy plates and... More

My wife and I ate at the Au p'tit Normand last Saturday evening. Wheneverer we visit this region we make certain to visit. The restaurant is run by a mother and daughter team. The mother runs the kitchen and the daughter front of house. The food is simple in many ways but is always full of flavour and cooked to... More
