We absolutely loved our experience. It was full to the max when we arrived and we thought we were out of luck but the second floor was open and had several spots left. Filled with families, couples and tourists we listen to the bustle of the restaurant and sipped on local wine and cider. We ordered cheese heavy plates and... More

My wife and I ate at the Au p'tit Normand last Saturday evening. Wheneverer we visit this region we make certain to visit. The restaurant is run by a mother and daughter team. The mother runs the kitchen and the daughter front of house. The food is simple in many ways but is always full of flavour and cooked to... More

I'm sorry to say my wife and I picked up a stomach bug at this restaurant. Its a small restaurant, the welcome is good, and the menu is fine. But our food was too undercooked for us. I sent mine back and they recooked it, but in the end I picked up a bug and ended up off work for... More

This restaurant is a family business and it feels so! Simple and friendly. The mum is the cook and her meals are divine!!! Forget your diet and dig in!!! My special favorite was the started with cheese and an egg! To die for!

So impressed were my wife and I with our last visit to Cambremer in Sep 12 that we booked again for this Sep. Once unpacked, Au P'tit Normand was our first port of call for our evening meal. This was a Sat and they were absolutely booked solid; nevertheless they created a space for us out of nowhere, treating us... More

Our hostess in Beuvron-en-Auge suggested this restaurant, and it was delightful. As noted below, the cuisine is basically regional Normandy dishes, but there were some creative touches- We had chèvre/basil quenelles as a first course. Our main dishes were entrecote and capon in a sauce of raisins, walnuts and cider, followed by cheese course and apple tart. Our very friendly... More

A relaxed, family-run restaurant with a menu strong on local cheese, cider and calvados. Exactly the sort of place we had hoped to find in this part of Normandy. Recommended.

Excellent straight up, no nonsense food in a small town square in the rolling hills and greenery of northern Normandy. What's not to like? Get away from the beach madness, sit on a terrasse, be served great food at reasonable price by welcoming staff. Couldn't be much better. I'll be back.

Stumbled across this place while cycling the "Route du Cidre". I arrived just as it seemed to be opening at 12:00. The set menu at Eu16 is only available at lunch time Tuesday to Friday, and the next one up is Eu27. I was only after a quick something for lunch, so wasn't looking to spend a fortune. I chose... Out driver took us to this tiny restaurant in this tiny town--a place the bus tours never see. A friendly young woman greeted and seated us, and told us that her mother was cooking today. We were already in love! The food proved our initial impression to be correct. Traditional Norman dishes, hearty portions and great wine caused us to... More
