Delicious Ice Cream

My wife and I visited these premises on 11 August whilst on a narrowboat holiday on the Lancaster Canal. The shop is very interesting with many beautiful and amusing items. There is seating outside on the canal bank which is lovely. We only had ice-creams which were absolutely delicious.

A wonderful find - I'd been looking for somwhere to get lunch by the Lancaster Canal. Simple food well prepared and presented, served promptly, and if the weather allows you can eat on the canal bank. The craft on sale is good too.

Live not far from here. Use to visit quite often for their breakfast sandwiches... Which were fine for the price. However, the last time we went it was only 10.30am and the manager said he had run out of them but it was very quiet! Turns out he was actually too busy making cakes for the afternoon to be bothered... More

didnt know this existed! It has a craft shop full of lovely craft gifts, then the cafe has a excellent menu, the food and service is good and a nice atmosphere too. Lovely outside seating by the canal too! It's a lovely venue for a cup of tea in the sun, or hot soup inside when wet. go and see!

My wife and I have taken refreshments at the Canalside Craft Centre, at Galgate, on a number of occasions. Each time it has been an enjoyable experience. The craft centre is clean, comfortable and fairly spacious. The customer can also sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet alongside the Lancaster canal, and watch narrow boats passing through and the... More

We were travelling from the North East to North Wales so decided to break our journey here. It is a lovely craft centre and coffee shop and we had toasties, which came with salad and crisps. We also had cake, of course! Hubby had Bakewell flapjack and I had Tiffin. All the food was tasty! We would definitely call here... More

We call in about four times a year as a half-way point where we can meet other family members. The staff are always polite, friendly and efficient. The place is always clean, our light snacks and tea/coffee are always good. The cakes look tempting but we usually refrain! We can't comment on the fuller meals but we would expect them... More

We called in here for breakfast on our way home from holiday and were pleased we did. A lovely teacake and breakfast sandwich with two coffees were delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were very polite - would definitely call again if in the area. There is a craft area attached selling cards and jewellery amongst other things.
