Had lovely toasted sandwiches and tea, service good, lovely and clean. Have used it quite a few times and it is always the same standard.

I didn't eat here so can't comment on the food but while looking for somewhere to meet up with an old work colleague I hadn't seen in years, we decided on this place. We only got a coffee at first and went outside and up the steps to sit at a bench by the canal. The sun was shining and... More

Lovely view of the canal food not a lot to choose from and a little expensive. Staff are very friendly. Car park at side of the craft cafe.

I like it here. There's a lovely view by the canal. However, whoever's doing the menu has got a bit carried away by the twee setting and must think only millionaires are stopping by for a bite to eat. £7-00 odd for a baked potato - how much? Have I been transported into the twenty-second century? Maybe the potato was... More

Having passed the signs for this place twice a day on my way to and from work since starting in Lancaster in August, the academic holidays gave both my partner and I a bit of flexibility to be able to spend lunch together out and about. So after a morning in the office, we stopped by this place and were... More

Very disappointing café visit. They advertise an excellent roast dinner yet it is pretty ordinary and more expensive than most. The choice was turkey breast, that was it nothing else. I originally ordered Ocean Pie to be told they didn't have that even though it was on the menu. Not a very comprehensive menu to begin with and not very... More

We both ordered cheese pie with saute potatoes. We were disappointed to get a dish of melted cheese & onion with a thin pale sheat of pastry on top. The saute potatoes were sliced potatos barely warm. I had beans and my wife had coleslaw. Both as bad as each other. For £7.99 each I was expecting better. I could... More

Called in after driving up the nearby motorway. The mainstay of the place appears to be the restaurant, which serves pleasant home made type food in a friendly and efficient manner, and which is also reasonable value.

The best part of this establishment is the fact that you can sit by the canal and feed the ducks. After standing in the queue for some time I decided not to wait for a full meal and opted for the quick fix of cake and coffee, I shouldn't. The cake was not fresh and I suspect it had been... More
