My wife and I have taken refreshments at the Canalside Craft Centre, at Galgate, on a number of occasions. Each time it has been an enjoyable experience. The craft centre is clean, comfortable and fairly spacious. The customer can also sit outside and enjoy the peace and quiet alongside the Lancaster canal, and watch narrow boats passing through and the... More

We were travelling from the North East to North Wales so decided to break our journey here. It is a lovely craft centre and coffee shop and we had toasties, which came with salad and crisps. We also had cake, of course! Hubby had Bakewell flapjack and I had Tiffin. All the food was tasty! We would definitely call here... More

In fine weather there is a great space outside next to the canal.Inside is spacious with a card and gift shop attached.Great variety of food from snacks to full meals or wonderful cakes and scones for mid morning or afternoon tea.

We call in about four times a year as a half-way point where we can meet other family members. The staff are always polite, friendly and efficient. The place is always clean, our light snacks and tea/coffee are always good. The cakes look tempting but we usually refrain! We can't comment on the fuller meals but we would expect them... More

We called in here for breakfast on our way home from holiday and were pleased we did. A lovely teacake and breakfast sandwich with two coffees were delicious and reasonably priced. The staff were very polite - would definitely call again if in the area. There is a craft area attached selling cards and jewellery amongst other things.

Called in this morning for coffee & cake whilst on a walk along the canal. Smashing little cafe! Walker, dog and just about everybody friendly. Plus clean toilets! Whats not to like!

Cheap and cheerful, food is hot, soup always excellent (as are the scones). I've had several quick lunches with friends - and happily keep going back, It is a canalside cafe with good, hot food. Children seem welcome, dogs welcome outside (and definitely welcome). It isn't 5 star dining - but it isn't meant to be, it is a really... More

This café is beautifully situated next to the Lancaster canal and when the weather permits it is possible to sit outside on the bank of the canal. Inside, the craft centre and tea room is quite spacious and is well laid out. There is a good selection of main meals plus the usual selection of snacks and cakes and wine... More
