We have not been here for a while, but learning it had changed hands we thought we would go for Sunday lunch, we received a warm friendly welcome, the Sunday lunch menu is small, but the chef said he would happily make a veggie meal of our choice as the one on the menu did not appeal to two of... Visited this pub/restaurant for early dinner. Staff not very attentive and quite disinterested. No atmosphere at all. Carpet has been there for at least last 10 years or more. No light in one of ladies' loo and no paper in the other at 1630 hours on a Saturday! Burger mediocre and 'pie of the day' (steak and ale) absolutely tasteless consisting... More

We fancied a trip out into the country and chose to come here as it said it was dog friendly. They certainly was dog friendly, our little dog was welcomed with open arms and was allowed to sit with us whilst we dined. The food and the service was excellent and we will definitely be visiting again. A big thank... More

I came here for afternoon lunch and a couple of beers with a friend. What was going to be a light lunch ended up being a 3 course meal. Goats cheese starter, sirloin steak main and dark chocolate brownie to finish. Wonderful food!!!!! Will highly recommend to family and friends. If you are passing I would honestly recommend you pop... More

When we arrived at the pub we noticed that they stopped serving food at 8 30pm. It was about 8 45pm when we asked it was no problem at all and were offered the full menu. A most enjoyable evening.

I ate here with a group of friends. The pub has recently reopened under new management. I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the service. The pub has sensibly gone for a concise menu of good dishes, and concentrates on doing them well. I ordered fish and chips, and they were delicious, the nicest I've... More
