The Old Glen was taken over last winter by a lovely couple who are what a proper pub landlord and lady should be. Friendly, chatty, as if you have walked into their sitting room! They let dogs in one half of the pub with a dog free half for those none dog lovers! They started doing food a couple of... More

What a great pub!! Firstly it is situated in a fantastic place on the glen. It is a great building with a great cosy feel! Iv eaten here a few times now and every time it has been absolutely delicious! I recommend the pate, fish and chips and any dessert! They are all homemade and amazing! The Chefs clearly work... More

The recieved a warm and friendly welcome and the restuarant is very pleasant inside and tastefully done, the woodburner in the winter must be lovely and cosy. As we got there before 7pm we took... We arrived to see a sign saying food orders could take upto 1 hour to be taken. Walked in and the staff immediately apologised for the delay in food orders and explained that this was because of the amount of booked tables that were already being catered for, A table was found for us in 10 minutes, food order taken... Visited this pub/restaurant for early dinner. Staff not very attentive and quite disinterested. No atmosphere at all. Carpet has been there for at least last 10 years or more. No light in one of ladies' loo and no paper in the other at 1630 hours on a Saturday! Burger mediocre and 'pie of the day' (steak and ale) absolutely tasteless consisting... More

We fancied a trip out into the country and chose to come here as it said it was dog friendly. They certainly was dog friendly, our little dog was welcomed with open arms and was allowed to sit with us whilst we dined. The food and the service was excellent and we will definitely be visiting again. A big thank... More
