Hidden away behind the indoor market, Interlude Tea Room brings an ambience and quality not often found in today's busy times. Great food, all made and baked on the premises (including their bread), wonderful service and a chance to chill out before returning to the 21st century.

This is the second time I have been to Interlude and each time the service is amazing. It has a lovely little feel about the place and in needs to be experienced.

A must visit! Lovely tea room, takes you back in time. All home cooked food & generous portions too. We had the bacon, brie & cranberry in a home made bread cake. It was gorgeous. Came back later for the home made scones with jam & cream. The service is excellent, lovely people. Will definitely return!

They were almost closed but let us in anyway and we were really glad. Had an American cousin visiting so it was the perfect setting, ridiculously British tearoom. Scones good but cream was whipped not clotted. I love it though and would go back in a heartbeat. Coffee machine not working so late but had a delicious cafetiere instead.

My wife and children have been to Interlude a few times for the wonderful breakfasts and have regaled me with lovely tales of a time gone by and excellent food and service, however I have never seemed to get time to go. At last this weekend we managed to get some time all together and we went in for lunch... More

The little tea room in shipley is a great find. The Staff are great, nothing is too much trouble. The food is wonderful. Home cooked bread and cakes, afternoon teas. Its a 40s style tea room and well worth a visit. Good value for money.

The best scones and the best buttercream in the world!!! An incredible place to visit. People are very friendly and always give as the best. Good prices and great cakes and food. It will be my tea room for the next years.

We have lived in Baildon, SHipley for many years, and found this place more or less by accident - we had always walked on by previously. However, we noticed it this time, and went inside. Wow - it is like being transported back in time. A real exquisite experience, with mismatched tea services , artefacts from years gone by on... More

This was a lovely place to lunch. The setting was 1920s and very authentic. I felt like I had stepped back in time and was very at home with the decor. People seemed so at home that in the space of half an hour two people left their valuables in the cafe! We ordered an afternoon tea and jacket potato... More

Crazy place! Step back into the 1930s. Traditional English teas served by ladies dressed in period costume.
