Hidden away behind the indoor market, Interlude Tea Room brings an ambience and quality not often found in today's busy times. Great food, all made and baked on the premises (including their bread), wonderful service and a chance to chill out before returning to the 21st century.

Largest Vanilla slice I've ever had

What a great little place. Great coffee just way I want it and the biggest vanilla slice I've ever had . Vintage thyme all the way through with the the ability to buy a lot what you see . Just a nice little place to stop buy and have lunch or just a coffee or tea and a slice of... read more

Well worth a visit. Not the normal run of the mill cafe with lovely food, atmosphere and full of nostalgia

Used trip advisor for somewhere nice to eat in Shipley, this rated quite highly and looked different so gave it a try and wasn't disappointed!! Had a sandwich and a cake and both were excellent, staff were very nice too. Only downside, don't take card so had to go out in the terrible weather to the cash machine round the... More

We had a Christmas special for £ 10 each, which consisted of a range of sandwiches cakes soup topped off with tea and coffee. The service was good if further assistance was required there is a bell on the table. My wife and I were both suitably stuffed to which point we had a carry out. All round it was... More

Visited with friends. Delightful ambience and tasty food. Recommend it highly. The desserts are to die for and good choice of tea and coffee.

Went with my two year old daughter for dinner and was given toast fingers to occupy her while we waited. Had delicious carrot and coriander soup for myself and a cheese sandwich for my daughter. We had large portions of lemon meringue pie and treacle tart for pudding. It was very relaxed and friendly and well priced. The tables where... More

went to this place 3 weeks ago and returned yesterday. Superb cream teas plus more . All the cakes were home made , as were the pies and the soup. WOW Horlick as well as Ovaltine. The place also has retro clothes 40s/50s/60s etc. Not the cheapest HOWEVER give it a try and you will be back .

This is the second time I've visited the interlude, again I am disappointed. The food is very low in standard and the atmosphere is dead. I've recently visited the new 1920s bistro in saltaire and I was extremely happy with the food, drink and hospitality presented by the polite owner/ manager. I would advise you pay a visit to this establishment... More

Thank you for your compliments about (Sarah) that is in fact me and I am the owner. I dreamed up the idea and put it into action 8 years ago. It is a small family run business with an eye to providing an authentic step back in time. We use traditional recipes, we make traditional meals, such as our Beef... More

This is like going back in time lovely and relaxing great service wonderful coffee and home baking. Very obliging as to how you like your tea or coffee would recommend. The shop upstairs is like a bargain basement with lots to look at a little bit retro but well worth a look

Very quaint 1920s style cafe which I visited a few years ago. I returned to find that the food is still all home made and still delicious. The scones are huge and delicious. I couldn't manage anything more, and the tea was very good too. The atmosphere is really nice here and the manager if very friendly and helpful.
