Good food

We had a lovely meal with 4 persons. We had ordered a table on the terrace. As starters we had meatballs, shrimps with garlic and fish soup (quite heavy stuff) but nice., To continue we had two steaks, monkfish and turbot, all this with a nice bottle of red wine (PradoRey Elite 2009) As I could... read more

We always eat here when on holiday. The setting is delightful with a glorious view. Every table has a different tablecloth, differently coloured plates and glasses and there are all kinds of lights and ornaments- I assume the owner has travelled to Thailand with the Buddha in the corner and the Buddhist shrine outside the toilets. It all adds up... More

This restaurant is fabulous the view is amazing the eclectic mix of decor make it quirky and actually quite fun to eat at pre book and order the paella for the treat of a lifetime. Best paella in town Fact. Knowing some spanish really helps but not necessary we loved it. The view is too die for a must if... More

We ate here with a friend who highly recommended the restaurant. They tried to sit us outside, neat the car park, despite our friend booking covered seating. After a while they reseated us. We were served bread and dips, as we had not order them we assumed they were complimentary, but they were added to the bill. The three steaks... More

I have been coming to Bar Canis for years and should have known to book but we didn't and turned up on a quiet Wednesday lunchtime in June and was asked if we had booked. We said we hadn't and promptly got sent to the 2 corner tables right next to the kitchen on a scorching day and chose one... More

I live not far from this really pretty resturant and always wanted to visit after mixed reviews about the service. The start wasn't great admittedly after asking for a table the waitress waved at one on the terrace not looking up from her phone the took 15 mins to give us menus or ask for drinks, there's was only 1... In our opinion this is truely the areas best paella. Having visited over the last few years it never changes. Succulent rice and meat topped with delicious prawns. Even though it was February, our last visit, we still unfortunately had to make a reservation. The staff don't appear to have changed, a little sullen looking but I think it is... More

I have read varied reviews of this restaurant mainly re the staff. We found them to be friendly, helpful and extremely pleasant. We have been twice in the last few weeks and the food was excellent both times, real paellas not tourist stuff. Puddings are also wonderful. The whole ambience is wonderful, one of the quirkiest and most interesting restaurants... More
