This restaurant has an amazing view from up high down to the sea, with a lovely outside terrace and quirky decorations. The food is typically local Spanish fare and their mixed paella, home made bread and salads are wonderful. The prices are average for this area. The service is good and the staff friendly. They do a very reasonable good menu del dia with 3 courses... In our opinion their paella is the best we have tried in Moraira. They also do an excellent lamb dish that needs to be ordered in advance. Also love their rabbit and pork cheeks. The restaurant is very quirky and although the service can be a bit slow the quality of the food makes up for this. Always very busy... More

Name EL CANIS. Location Benimarco -Benissa 45 Kms. from Alicante. Food fresh, very unique and excellent. From the popular paella common dish of the area to an interesting menu full of original recipes and artistic presentations. Appetizers that nobody have to main plates combine in a form that no restaurant offer. Seafood, meat and veggies are high quality and the... More

I don't like warm water fish as a rule, but the grilled sole at Canister was perfect. The service was attentive but not overly so. The most pleasant surprise, the bill, 50 euros for 3 people including wine.

Fabulous authentic Spanish cuisine from a vibrant and brightly decorated restaurant with lovely views over the valley and out to sea. Sick to traditional Spanish food and you won't go wrong, the tapas is amazing but beware portions are enormous, order 1 tapas between 2 as a Max. The tapas are not cheap at between 10&18 Euros each but they... More

Warning, tranquillo! Chilllax! Don't be in a hurry to place your order or even a drink! Staff slow and a bit surly. But there is plenty to keep you amused while you wait. The view is absolutely stunning. It's a quirky little restaurant, each table has different crockery, glass & tablecloth. Pretty decor, with lots of Moroccan references. The 'menu... More

Our friends who live in nearby Moraira had been strongly recommended to booked this restaurant due to its apparent reputation for serving good paella. Unfortunately none of our English party spoke Spanish, other than a halting phrase or two - and that appears to have been resented. The owner greeted us looking as though she was chewing on a mouthful... More
