Its about the food only

Wandering in around 21.10 the welcome was not warm, and the question was whether we had a reservation, despite being able to see rows of empty tables After some dithering and conversation with each other there was an acceptance...well it's Winter approaching because this time for Spaniards is... read more

Love this place - secret find. Have taken three sets of friends here to date over last two months as think the food is great, hospitality wonderful and quirky nature of the decore just - well quirky. Bread amazing, house tapas lovely, menu different apart from their fab paella of course and portions - well do NOT order a starter... More

It was recommended to us for the paella and we surely got our money well invested! We only took paella, without looking a the menu so not too sure what else they serve although we saw different plates served around us. They basically have two types of paellas: meat only or meat and seafood. We took one of each. They... More

Nice atmosphere, warm welcome apart from one grumpy waitress. Prompt service and nice food, except burnt paella. When this issue was raised, we were told "its traditional for paella to be burnt". Lol! €175 for six inc two bottles of very good wine.

We were two couples. Although there is an English language section to the menu most of the staff seem reluctant to engage with us. This is a Spanish restaurant that has an international clientelle. We had a long wait for our order to be taken. The bread with the alioli was excellent. My starter of melon and ham was literally... More

We've been to this restaurant on many occasions and have always been well received with good service. This is however a traditional Spanish restaurant staffed by locals who speak little English and who will appreciate it if you try some Spanish. The menu is varied and maybe (judging by other reviews) we have been lucky with our choices but we've... More

Have been visiting Cañiz for more than 15 years only for their good paella and that is all. Staff is most unfriendly. One day pets are welcomed an other day, they chase you a way as if you had the flew. The vieuw is fantastic and that saves them. The only reason I and my Moraira friends will never go... More

This restaurant has had mixed reviews recently but we still thought it was worth a stab, if only to prove some people wrong. We booked the same day so were given a table slightly away from those with the 'view' that entices people here. It was very busy and contrary to other reviews we didn't find the staff grumpy, simply... More

Far to expensive for over salty food served by ill mannered staff. People queuing in the car park with at least 6 empty tables on the terrace. 25 minutes after finishing the mains a surly staff member came to clear the table, we gave up on dessert and asked for the bill. A further 20 minutes and we got a... More

Been many times before, seafood in the paella has been dramatically reduced compared to previous years. Staff very rude and abrupt will not visit again. Great shame as previous visits have been superior.
