Lots of outdoor tables on the patios

Recommended to me by my spanish neighbour. Lovley well presented restsurant with large menu to suit everyone. Out side on the room is very nice but fir a more romantic evening or to be on your own look to your far right and there are 2 table tucked away. No one was sitting there as the lights... read more

Popped into the Anon for a bite to eat as it was the nearest place to get out of the rain. Been in for a quick beer before but never to eat. Service was fantastic, the guy behind the bar was polite and entertaining. Food was ok, we both had an aubergine bake, arrived very, very quickly and the open... More

Excellent place to eat normally but this time the main course was not cooked properly, the fish was severely underdone and ruined the meal, to be fair they only charged half price for it but really the price they charge they should do better. Lunchtime however in front of the log fire you must have the pate de Madison. It... More

Listening to the recommendations from foreign residents in Jimena, we dined for a special occasion at El Anon on an evening not busy. We and the only other couple that night were directed to two tables in a small room near the kitchen and drinks cooler. As we pondered the menu, the other guests asked for the "special mushroom menu"... More

Within the limitations of a budget-priced meal for a large group (20+), this was excellent quality food, with a decent selection of dishes, good value, efficiently served. The open-air terrace at the top, where a dozen or so of us ate, needed mountaineering equipment to get to, but this just added to the fun. A rabbit warren of a place,... More

Feel at home here, with train features at the bar and fantastic roof terraza. Great startes, salads and Couscous. Food a bit on the salty side was the only thing.

We visited for an evening meal one night and were amazed at the maze of different rooms and terraces with masses of steps in every direction, and the plunge pool on the upper terrace. The décor is Moorish style and rather beautiful. However now for the bad news. When we entered we could not identify any member of staff and... More

This restaurant has a lovely roof terrace but is a hell of a climb. We found the food (Aubergene and tomato gratin, rabbit stew, hummus) good but not great. Nothing to complain about but also nothing that made the visit particularly memorable. This was a mid week lunch, so may have a better atmosphere at other times.

I am grateful always to find veggie options anytime I go out. My hubby on the other hand is glad of everything carnivorous! Thankfully, Hostal Anon can meet both these needs and well! Ambiance is the number one reason to dine here however, service is friendly albeit at times slow and the food may not all come to the table... More

3 of us had a a good evening meal. The place was quiet for diners, except a few punters in the bar. They almost seemed surprised to have some diners: but Spain does late dining (arriving at 9 pm is late for a 4 year old). They were accomodating in sanitising a spicy meal for my daughter (age 4): however... More
