The food here is excellent. Fish is fresh, preparation is perfect, service is friendly, views are amazing. Overall the best place to go at Port Appin.

From the starter (grilled goat cheese salad with rhubarb compote) to the main course (salmon on very fresh veggies and potatoes) to the slightly too sweet sticky toffee pudding the dinner was bliss - not to mention the fantastic view over the loch to the Isle of Lismore!

We ate an early dinner in the bar two nights running and then the following morning enjoyed a coffee and scone. On neither night did we have a reservation but were accommodated in a friendly fashion by the bar staff. We enjoyed both meals - a bit above average for our trip we thought and it was a pleasure just... More

Our family has been traced back in that area for over 300 years. The hotel is simply magnificent, the rooms are ideal and the bar very welcoming. Two... More

We stayed at this fabulous hotel last week and had a wonderful break. The owners were lovely and the hotel and restaurant staff were friendly, kind and attentive. We had dinner in the restaurant and enjoyed the most delicious seafood while watching a spectacular sunset over Lissmore island through the huge picture windows overlooking the Loch. The bed was super... More

The Pierhouse Hotel Restaurant is a friendly place with a dining room with a beautiful view. Service was friendly and accommodating. Food was plentiful though a bit heavy. Wholeheartedly recommended for a semi-casual, semi-fancy evening out.
