Ate at this lovely restaurant a couple of weeks ago whilst on holiday in St Lucia. The setting is fantastic and getting the little ferry across the bay adds to the magic. The food is great with really interesting combinations that work so well. Only down side is I got eaten alive by mossies even with insect spray on but... More

Happy to hear that you enjoyed your dinner - the thing to do is mention to the staff if you are having trouble with mosquitoes and they will put a mosquito coil close but downwind of you so that it drives the insects away but you don't smell it. sometimes we can also move people to a breezier table. Really... More

I read the reviews after we ate here and have absolutely no idea how anyone could give this place less than 4. The service was outstanding. Even though it was slow season there were at least 3 servers for just about as many tables. This meant attention to details.. And they did it without hovering. Very friendly staff, met us... More

So glad you enjoyed the food and the jazz. It's not easy getting the ingredients you need for a very sophisticated menu on a very small island and our very innovative chef team do their best with lots of local herbs, vegetables and fruit and lots of very Caribbean creole.touches. our prices are not high by comparison with similar restaurants... This is a lovely restaurant in a much sought after location. You have to get a really sweet little ferry over to the restaurant which has its own tiny dock. It only takes a minute or two but makes the experience all the more special. The setting is very romantic. The food was great, with a new swedish chef that... More

Thank you! arriving by boat is all part of the Marigot Magic and we're glad you enjoyed the dinnee r and the jazz as well. I sometimes think as i sit in the bar and listen to the music and watch the fish in the lagoon that the fish are actually synchronised with the music - there are definitely some... More

Bad Service, boring food! Could get a bottle of wine off the menu. We went on our anniversary because of the great reviews. When we asked for a bottle of wine from their wine list they were going to substitute it for a wine 7 years younger. Not for $200.00. Turns out they didn't have any wine from the wine... More

Dear LucyBruni I received a detailed report from the restaurant General Manager on the night of your visit because the staff found your behaviour completely unreasonable and we were expecting this negative review. It is anomalous in the context of several very positive reviews from the same evening. You are correct in that the wine offered was a different vintage... More

This was our second visit, the first being last year. The venue and ambience is first class and the food equally so. If I was to carp the service though good was not quite as good as previously. For instance we were not invited to have cocktails in the wonderful bar area and the water taxi took a long time... More

Dear John T Thanks for your review of the "Most Romantic of Restaurants" - a point made in many Press and consumer reviews. Sorry about the ferry delays. We do not own the ferry. It is a public ferry serving several destinations in Marigot Bay - and we do not control its programme. We do station a hostess on the... More

This is a great restaurant with wonderful food, great atmosphere and very friendly and charming staff who are happy to assist in any way. They make great cocktails including non-alcoholic and have a decent wine list. Getting there and back is fun - their little boat takes you across the harbour (no min number of diners required) and makes the... More

This place would be hard to get to in the evening, especially, unless you happen to have a yacht. But if you are 6 or more they will send a free taxi there and back (at least, from Windjammer Landing which is near Rodney Bay, a good 30 minutes by car). The taxi takes you to the waterside, and there... More

Dear Laurence W Thanks for your very comprehensive review of Rainforest - and accurate numbers too - which is not always the case...! One clarification: The free transport is for six ADULT diners from anywhere in the north of the island - but it must be arranged through the restaurant - as we have a pool of licensed taxis who...
