I took my husband to Rainforest Hideaway for his birthday dinner the day after we arrived in Marigot Bay. We were staying at Natures Paradise (awesome property) and our hosts suggested this restaurant because it was close by and really special. We took the little ferry across the bay and right to the dock of the restaurant which was such... More

This restaurant was highly recommended by a local and it didn't disappoint. The manager met our boat and helped us on the dock and escorted us to a table for a drink prior to dinner. The drinks, food and music were fantastic. We would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Marigot Bay.

Definitely the best restaurant in Marigot Bay - book in advance! A great place for a special occasion, the place is very atmospheric - you take a little boat across to the jetty of the restaurant, and can have drinks right beside the water. The menu is modern and imaginative, completely different to the standard tourist fayre in most other... More

Dear Lindsay R Many thanks for your review and rating Rainforest as the "best restaurant in Marigot Bay" - which reflects the position we have held continuously on TripAdvisor since we opened in 2004. Your suggestion of making a reservation is a good one - as we are now on our Summer Opening programme - when we close from Sunday... More

You cannot drive to rainforest Hideaway. You must get into a (very efficient) ferry for the 3 minutes journey across Marigot bay. We had stopped going as the food simply wasn't up to scratch, but its back! We went last weekend and it was a lovely evening. There was live jazz music and the ambiance, food and wine made for... Dear Germaine W Thank you for returning to Rainforest - and so pleased that your recent visit restored your previous confidence...! Perhaps you last visited when we were making changes to the team - which happens from time to time. Things have been very stable for the last 6 to 7 months - under the direction of Jean Rene DuBoulay,... More

We stayed our first week at the Ti Kaye and several couples there recommended we try the Rainforest Hideaway. We actually booked a water taxi up to Rodney Bay for our reservation at The Edge there and wound up sharing the boat for the first leg of our trip up with a lovely British couple who were renting a villa... Dear Barrya42 Thank you for your very comprehensive review of Marigot Bay and Rainforest Hideaway. You point out how nice it is to arrive in Marigot by boat - and several boat operators in Rodney Bay and Soufriere regularly bring guests to dine at Rainforest - experiencing the magic of a sunset cruise here and a moonlight cruise back....! Having seen that this restaurant was top rated we had to give it a try and we were not disappointed. The restaurant was easily accessed using the free ferry service across the bay. We had a fabulous table right on the water which made it a special evening- although none of the tables were far from the water's edge. We... More

Dear Loubylou 13 We appreciate your very detailed review of Rainforest and are very pleased that your expectations were met and that you had a "great evening". As you point out, having been the TripAdvisor number one rated restaurant in Marigot Bay (continuously since we opened in 2004) places a heavy burden of expectation on the restaurant and it is... A short free ferry brings you to the candle lit bar then walk through to the restaurant. Service is attentive but not fussy, the food excellent and very well prepared and presented - as were the little extras which were presented to us. Loved the setting on the water's edge with an under-lit lagoon attracting in the fish to watch... More

Dear Bigirv 100 Many thanks for taking the trouble to submit a review of Rainforest - and so glad it worked out perfectly for you. Also very pleased that you enjoyed the display of Tarpon in the lagoon - highlighted by the underwater lights. This is very unusual and is becoming an attraction in its own right. Will have to... We took the ferry from Marigot Bay over to Rainforest Hideway for dessert and coffee. The Manager of Oasis recommended this restaurant as is parents own it. Was probably the most expensive and least impressive of all the restaurants we went to in Marigot Bay. We share 2 desserts and one was lemony...nothing to rave about. We did get attached... More

Dear Fluffy Toronto Sometimes you just pick the wrong restaurant.......you tried two of our strongest products. Our coffee is, without a shadow of doubt, the best in the Bay and those who get as far as the desert course are generally very positive about the flavours and presentation. Our Head Chef prepares the deserts personally. Maybe whatever you consumed before... More

A beautiful setting and a mouthwatering menu. Could The Rainforest Hideaway live up to its promise? Well, yes it could. The food was a delight, especially the seabass, and the service was formal but friendly. We liked it so much we went twice.

Dear Jonesrhodes Thank you for your review of Rainforest. Because of the reviews we have received most patrons expectations are set very high - and it is a constant challenge to meet or exceed them. The staff will be delighted to know we did so on both occasions that you dined with us. The Chilean seabass is a superb fish... More
