It does not get much better

Gwen’s has a island feel that is unsurpassed. This is not first class dining by any means unless you think that having lunch and an ice cold beer on a perfect beach relaxing in a hammock is for you. Visiting Anguilla will leave you with tons of memories but none will be as glorious as the ones... read more

Gwen's is very expensive for what it is. Drinks are more expensive than in full restaurants at dinner. Food is ok, but not worth the price. We liked the beach bar at Elodia's much more - better prices, good food and amazing location right on Shoal Bay. Elodia's is a perfect place to spend the day and have a nice... More

Chicken, Ribs, Red Stripe, and the famous Anguilla Hot Sauce they all serve makes for the ideal lunch. Then lounge in a hammock and watch the waves crash in. One of our favorite meals and not nearly as expensive as the fancy restaurant.

It's like a pilgrimage, we always take the trip to Shoal Bay to eat Gwen's chicken and ribs and stare out at what is to us one of the most beautiful views on the island. Good strong rum punches at a classic Caribbean beach shack. Love this place, like heaven on earth for us.

Just there for lunch today...food is good, however it is seriously over priced. Two of us for lunch - had a chicken leg with rice and coleslaw and a fish burger with a couple of glasses of wine for total cost$90US. A glass of wine is $9.00 - very basic wine. You can get a bottle here for that price!

It's my second time in Anguilla and Gwen's is a place I enjoyed a whole lot. It was the perfect place to spend jan1, 2012. Great music, fabulous drinks, yummy burgers, sand, trees, hammocs. A light breeze and a group of good friends of all generations. On a day like this shoal bay is divine and you can walk along... More

You wont find a better spot for a true "Anguillan Experience" Gwen and TAP are wonderful, caring people and you won't be dissappointed! Beach is wonderful; food is very good ( its not Vicerory so dont expect white table cloth,) ribs, chicken and fish. Reasonably priced. Every day is a good day at the "grill", but Sunday's really rock! Plan... More

We had lunch at Gwen's and were not impressed. We had to eat inside due to the high winds beating the shore. The BBQ was just ok and not very meaty or moist. The rum punch was passable. It is in a beautiful location, but not worth the trip.

The food was just okay (had the grilled chicken) but the view was fantastic! We did a bit of snorkeling off the beach even though the water was a bit choppy. I would have liked to return on a calmer day. It would be a fantastic place to hang out for some music and a nap in one of the... More

lovely Shoal Bay beach side restaurant with a place to swim, relax (hammocks), and have drink or lunch. Unfortunately, we went on an off day where there was no entertainment. Wish we had more time to return if only we had more time to enjoy the entertainment.
