Morning coffee and scones - superb!

Called into this lovely traditional cafe on a day trip round the Dales with friends visiting from Portugal. What a great start to our day. Cafetière soft Taylor's coffee and scones to die for. This wasn't our first visit and it won't be our last. Highly recommended.

Nice tea room, but noticed it was up for sale and could feel that whilst waiting for our soup and toasted sandwich, which where okay. Tomato soup homemade but lacked flavour, like pureed tinned tomatoes and cheese in toasties lacked flavour too. Menu and cake cabinet lacked anything inspirational though the scones looked good. Just seemed a very basic boring... More

Popped in and received a lovely welcome. Our order was taken promptly, the food arrived and was lovely. Everything was fresh and freshly prepared. Coffee was a little bitter. Overall though a great little cafe

Wonderful tearoom with yummy cakes and scones and great friendly service. This tearoom faces onto the main square in Masham and was very homely just as a tearoom should be

Nice to have the option of a small / large cooked breakfast. The black pudding was fabulous and overall the whole experience was lovely. In my opinion it's better than Johnny Baghdad's that's the other cafe / tea shop on the square. Would visit again for sure.

A traditional tea shop trying very hard to please. The elegant tea service and tea in a pot with hot water, was in contract to the cherry scone that was far from dainty however it was light and full of fruit so had no problem finishing it at all.

Having spent the day walking in Wensleydale we returned to Masham just as the rain begun. We came across this cafe off the square where we had a lovely selection of cake and tea to choose from. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good. When we return to the area walking we now have a... More

Visited on the 24th April 2015 for lunch. After looking at the menu, it seemed a little overpriced but as we didn't know the area we thought we'd give it a try. I ordered the Brie and grape sandwich (£6.50). I appreciate that it is titled 'Brie and grape sandwich' however, I would have expected something more than one slice... More

Popped in this place whilst looking at the markets with my wife. It is very traditional and simple, but I felt this was part of its charm, as it presented as a tea room and wasn't trying to be a restaurant. Afternoon tea was lovely, and very reasonable at only £12 for two. Sandwich's were good, but made in "batches".... More
