The place to have roast lamb dinner...

Lovely bistro in the old but still working brewery. Great ambiance, nice staff, great deserts!! Roast potatoes were as expected where there is a mass production of Sunday dinners, but even so very tasty Sunday lunch Recommend to sample to beers whilst you are there And then go gist shopping!

We both got out of the car, unfortunately the disabled lift was proving to be tricky to operate. After a 10 min. wait assistance arrived, once inside the disappointment continued. The inside is looking dated and in need of a makeover. Staff mostly pleasent but menu is also in need of an update. We ordered two sandwiches a portion of... More

Decided to have lunch here before our tour of the brewery. Well worth it. When my fish n chips arrived I queried if it was for sharing! Delicious piece of haddock too. We also had the liver, and a burger. Puddings are also great, the chocolate fudge cake, the cheesecake all went down extremely well. Overall good food at reasonable... More

We have eaten here a couple of times when visiting Yorkshire and it's not to be missed. The bistro was a very pleasant surprise with a great range of well cooked and presented food - anything from soup and sandwiches through to steak pie and chips. Lovely service (typical of this part of the world) and a great setting next... More

What a fantastic Sunday lunch for four people. Food freshly cut and meat straight from the hot counter and carved not the reconstituted stuff you can get. Fresh hot vegetables and the opportunity to try a sample of the beers.

We ate here 5/5/15. The bistro was clean and comfortable. Good choice of meals and snacks. I chose the hot ciabatta roll with bacon, Brie and cranberry which was the choice on the menu. However they happily changed it to bacon and melted blue Wensledale. Delicious!! I can highly recommend this as a choice. Also suggested they put it on... More

Really enjoyed our visit on Bank Holiday Monday. Staff were very welcoming, and service was swift considering how busy they were. Enjoyed the burgers. Pleasant setting.

We arrived at the Brasserie just before the end of service on Bank Holiday Sunday. The place was heaving, but we managed to find a table. We were 5 minutes from the end of service so the choice was limited, but notwithstanding this the food we had was very good quality and they had no trouble with our special diets... More
