Warm ambience (although the waitress could have smiled a bit!) and good atmosphere. The Black Sheep Ale braised beef with Blue Wensleydale pastry crust was absolutely deelish! Would definitely go again if in the area.

We booked for 6 of us and the restaurant was full. The service was very pleasant and efficient. The food was very good quality and varied via the standard menu or changing specials. The beer of course to wash it all down with was excellent. The wine choice was poor and seemed a bit like an after-thought and so they... More

Good food and wine, excellent beer. The surroundings are not the the most atmospheric. Fairly quite on a Friday in November, but we have had trouble getting in during the summer.

Tucked away from the main road behind the brewery is this lovely Bistro. Lots of menu choice and a variety of extras on the specials board. Super venue - particularly for a large party of friends. The food was beautifully cooked and presented and all the staff were very friendly and attentive. On a quiet winters night probably not the... More

Visited on a wet Thursday night. Including ourselves there were 9 people in the bistro, which is located in a big barn like building, adjacent to the gift shop and the brewery. Due to the height of the ceiling and the lack of people, the place echoes a bit and lacks a cosy atmosphere. Clearly based in a brewery the... More
