Best French Fries we've ever tasted!

An ancient building, beautifully restored, next to the picturesque Combourg castle. The vegetarian galette featured on the menu was simple but sound fare. The Bretonne is a daring fusion of andouillette and scallops, topped with cider jelly. The crêpes were fine and pleasantly frilly, and the coffee definitely up to the standards of that fine eatery. Yes, and the service... More

This was several steps above the other (perfectly good) crêperies we visited in Brittany—beautifully presented galettes with marvelous combinations of ingredients. You can get "the usual" galettes here as well. Service was friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed but artful—just like the food. A real find.

Went for lunch and had a great if simple bistro meal. Meats good and omelette tasty. Very friendly family run and good authentic atmosphere. Went back for supper and fully booked so made a booking for the following night! Recommended.

Situated right next to the castle outside wall the restaurant is the place to go for good galettes. We chose savoury ones which proved sufficient for a satisfying lunch. Galettes were traditional folding ones crammed with a variety of fillings. Service was very friendly. Prices were perhaps mid-range for this type of food - but well worth the money.

This was my first taste of a Brittany galette and it was a very tasty savoury pancake and it made an excellent lunchtime snack. The restaurant is conveniently located and the staff are helpful

Just went here tonight. Delicious crepes and gallettes. Both savory and desert crepes were really good. Also had some tasty cider. Crepes were better than at Ahna in Dinan, best of the trip!

We were in Combourg on a Monday evening, and as everyone familiar with France will know, this is not a good evening to find a restaurant that is open. After walking round the town we decided to try La Cour du Temple which was open. It is an old building with exposed beams and stone walls. The menu is small... More

The galette 'julie' was amazing...bacon, potato, onion, mushrooms, cream and cider...all wrapped up in a crisp buckwheat pancake. Just to finish off I had a salt caramel crepe with ice cream and cream....I felt fat, full and satisfied. Staff were friendly, spoke English and the prices are more than reasonable...a hit in my book and a gold star for the... More

What amazing food! The galettes had brilliant flavours and the first night I had one with potato and cream. The second visit I had goats cheese and chorizo. My husband had steak and it was wonderful. Both visits our children were welcomed with colouring in books and toys. Owners speak French and English. Very reasonably priced for what we had.... More
