A New Years Eve to remember!!

La Gramola is a small cafe-style restaurant that provides lovely "home-cooked" meals. We made a late booking for New Years Eve as we were staying at a near-by villa, and they fitted us in. It was a fixed menu with a range of traditional Italian food which was delicious. The restaurant was packed... read more

We ate here on a cold December night and it was terrific. The four of us ordered a wide range of food, fish and game, soup and vegetables, and everything was delicious. It was one of the more authentic Tuscan meals we had and we really enjoyed it. If you are in the area, we highly recommend it.

After our spouses attended a culinary class held here, we enjoyed a wine-paired lunch that was delicious to the point of absurd. The hosts are wife (Cecilia-Chef) and husband (Massimo-Sommelier) team and their magic extends from kitchen to table with ease. We enjoyed this place so much returned for dinner, twice! Very small but hustling, attentive service. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is located just off the main square in Tavarnalle. If you stay at the Borgo Corte Freda, it is about a 15 minute walk. Wonderful grilled meats, excellent pasta, great wine list and a helpful staff.

Pork and beef burgers are amazing! Pasta and appetizers are very good as well. The burger was so flavorful, we enjoyed every bite.

Cute little casual place in a small town, excellent food. Dined here twice during my week stay in Tuscany. Low-key atmosphere, very relaxed. Waiters spoke English which was helpful.

Our food was not very good. We had pasta with truffles. Sounds good but it wasn't. My husband had a hamburger that wasn't very good. Bun was as hard as a rock. Sad because the server was so nice and friendly

We should have been warned by the fact that their signature dish was hamburger. We were encouraged to have the most expensive wine, which we declined. The zucchini flowers starter was quite good, but no bread was served, or salt or pepper. Our request for lemon was met with a disapproving look and took a long time. The 'roast pork'... More

Excellent dinner !!! Super friendly and helpful owner - Massimo!! Food was amazing, from the super yummy cheese and white beans appetizer to pork stew in chianti sauce, but the highlight of my dinner was dessert!!! White chocolate mousse with strawberry compote!!! Heaven on earth! Best dessert I have ever had!! Thank you Massimo for recommending it!!! Great, great experience!

We went for lunch. For starter Tuscan ham and cold meats of excellent quality and generous quantity. Followed by a mushroom-potato omelet prepared to perfection, wonderful taste, gold brown color. Excellent spumante for apero and nice wines, also by the glass. Very friendly service. From what we saw on the other tables the weekday buffet lunch for 5€ seemed an... More
