The Caper of Salina is part of Slow Food. The company managed a family also has a good restaurant where you can taste local dishes with products grown on the farm. Kitchen with lots of vegetarian dishes such as eggplant or zucchini parmigiana, the caponata, the sweet and sour endive, zucchini pancakes, and ... Great food for a great price. Can't ask for a better location to watch the sun go down. Really lovely homely atmosphere and their Crema di Limoncello is a must!

The pasta here was really excellent - easily the best in our two-week holiday in Sicily. I enjoyed the pasta with tuna and my partner had the pasta with caper pesto. His dish was very unique, served with chilli oil, and was absolutely amazing. Besides the food, the setting was beautiful and the service was friendly and efficient. I would... More

Food was good & the restaurant was very proud of all it's trip advisor commendations put up on the walls but when the accompaniment to my fish dish didn't arrive with my fish dish, not a problem mistakes happen, the waiter forgot, I asked them not to bother sending them as I had finished my fish, they said they couldn't,... Quite good food in a very causal atmosphere. Great spot to watch sunset. Though I must recommend bringing a bit of bug spray. Had excellent local fish and the food was all very fresh and not expensive.

This was recommended to us by our host in Malfa as being good home style food. We rented a scooter and made our way around to Pollara and were not disappointed! We were visiting a little early in the season, so they were only doing lunch (depending on the season when you visit Salina, they may be doing lunch only,... More

Our expectations were high as also locals recommended the place. Like most restaurants the week of ferragosto this place runs at 150% of capacity, andante that's why we were disappointed.. Some fried courgettes as a starter were terrible, the pasta eoliana was boring and didn't taste of tuna or capers at all, stuffed squid was good.. Location is great and... More

With my second visit to Salina Island (and after several years of holidays in the Eolian archipelago), I finally decided to try this restaurant since it has some good reviews on tripadvisor and has been recommended to me by at least 3 different hotels. Let me start with the good things of the restaurant: location is excellent, directly overlooking the... More

Cute, traditional osteria. In spite of being one of the best on Salina, the personal is not arrogant at all, in the contrary. It stared already good, the complementary frittelle di zucchini was a dream. Everything was mega fresh....the salads, the vegetable....the pasta was home made and petfect, the sword fish was excellent (not chewy but juicy). There was nearly... More

We ate here one evening because the hotel Locanda del Postino was completely quiet. Although there were many spare tables we were asked to phone ahead and reserve next time - fair enough. However we were sat at the worst possible table of the that were free and they refused to reseat us to another of those that were free.... More
