Loved this place, Mum would have gone back every night given half a chance, think we only missed 1 night in our whole week. The service was excellent and nothing was too much trouble and the food was good.

If you are looking for the original of the Greek climate is not the place. We are going so-so - the tourists - quickly and without expression. I do not recommend.

Traditional Cretan food cooked perfectly using locally sourced beautifully fresh ingredients. Service with a smile and many free side dishes brought to your table for you to try. This is a family-run taverna with Kostas and Artemis and young George and Georgina all working so hard to make your meal a real pleasure. I have eaten here many times, and... More

Had a very nice time, following TripAdvisor reviews. Standouts: the dolmades (stuffed vine leaves) are exceptional. The gyros is excellent. Other dishes: I could take or leave the mixed fish plate, but my husband liked most of it. The service was warm, friendly and helpful.

We have eaten in this restaurant twice and found the food and service to be faultless and excellent value for money.

We ate here 3 times and each meal tasted fantastic! The gyros was particularly nice and the greek plate aswell! The staff was also very friendly and always greeted us with beautiful home made tatziki and bread. A must for anyone in the area!

We had really good food, plenty of it and very good service. Would highly recommend. Very good choice of Greek / Cretan cuisine and a very varied European menu.

Just returned from a ten break in Amoudara and Uncle George's Taverna was definitely one of favourites restuarants. We ate here for dinner 3 times during our stay and were not disappointed. Every meal we had was delicious and very good value for money. We could not fault the lovely food and friendly service provided.

This Greek family welcomes every guest with home-made tzatziki and bread. The menu is varied and ranges from traditional Greek gyros (€6,50) to a mixed fish plate (€13,00) using fresh local fish. The service is excellent. The family recognizes you when you pop by for a second (third, fourth...) time, truly does their best to satisfy the guests and makes... More
