After we explained to the waiter about vine taste,he tried vine from our bottle?!?! And tried to assure us that this... More

You just have to try the beef steak with green pepper, grilled veggies and baked potatoes. Good service

After eating at some wonderful restaurants in Croatia I was very disappointed with this restaurant. My wife and I sat at our table for 40 minutes before our drinks arrived and our mains arrived an hour and 15 minutes after being seated... the restaurant was about 75% full so I can't say that the poor service and long wait times... The concierge at the Split Le Meridien recommended Restaurant Arkada to us. It was a great recommendation. We literally just had to cross the street and were right there. We sat outside in a cute patio area and the waiter brought us some tuna butter, which was good. We ordered and enjoyed the pasta of the sea as a starter.... More

Good food in a kind of slightly outdated atmosphere. Perfect sirloin in rosemary, very good salads. Fish is also very good, yet not as perfect as you may find in Split. But the real "must try" is their white house wine. They have a choice of three - from lightest to strongest. The strongest was an extremely positively surprising discovery!... More

Whilst Split has very good restaurants, would recommend you travel a little outside of the city (15 minutes by taxi) to Podstrana and go to Restaurant Arkada (or stay in Le Meridian, just down the road). The menu is innovative and diverse, portions are generous and the veal flambe is to die for. Wine was excellent and the outdoor patio... More

Restarant is just 100 m away from Le Meridien hotel so is ideal choise for dining out for those staying there. Owner is also chef and is running it for more than 20 years. Recently renovated. Excellent "old" fashion mediteranian food but also on offer inovative dishes . Try beef in rosemary - delicious. Excellent wine list.
