Average fish & chip shop

This restaurant is pretty average overall. The service was friendly, but the fish they served us were just average (almost a little on the "fishy" side) and the taste wasn't all that appealing. Lots of fries; too many, really. The fish pieces were a little on the small side. This is more of an... read more

The Fish and Chip Place's location was perfect for our family group of 9. Our attentive server guided us through the menu and recommended family style baskets. The Georgian whitefish was really tasty and chips crispy. Sleeman's Honey Brown lager nicely topped off the lunch. Did I mention FCP's location on the south bluff of Little Tub? From the terrace... We stopped here as we were looking for lunch with no time to cook. The restaurant was small, basic. Food was ok. You get lots of chips with you meal not too much shrimps. Fish was ok. The calamari was all so ok.

We ate on the patio area, overlooking the harbour on a sunny afternoon in June. We ordered Fish & Chips, Fish Bits & Chips, Chicken Fingers and Calamari. Food was delivered quickly as we enjoyed some drinks and soaked up the view. My daughter commented that the Chicken fingers were really good, pieces of juicy chicken breast cooked in a... More

Stopped in for lunch for on the patio. Waited quite some time to be served for an early June weekend. Prices are outrageous but so is everything in Tobermory. Had the fish tacos...5.95$ each and no bragging rights here. They were rolled up in wax paper and the server just put them on the table. No plates nothing. A side... More

We ate here with family, getting a large basket of fish, fries, and some tacos. The fish tacos were very good, basic with cabbage and chunks of deep fried fish as well as salsa. They were very good, I was tempted to come back here to have them again! Service was good, location is central and prices were fair.

Came here on a cold spring day and had the best fish tacos I've ever had. Service was amazing and so was the chowder. The serve of the small chowder is more than enough.

My husband was so excited about the fish and chips place of Tobermory as we had heard great deal about the special fish of the region. He ordered the all you can eat and took two servings . It was great ! Good quantity and preparation. The servers were jovial and made it feel like a fun place to eat... More

My son and I flew into the Tobermory Airport today for a little adventure. We were on a tight schedule - were lucky enough to find the Blue Heron Cruise Bus to take us from the airport to The Fish and Chip Place. We told our server (a delightful woman whose name I did not get) on our arrival that... More

Our extended family of 10 went to The Fish and Chip Place on May 17th. Although we all had the same dish "Fish and Chips" the fish ended up being very tasty, lightly breaded local Georgian Bay Whitefish. The fish was cooked to perfection and wonderfully light tasting with the absence of over saturated grease found in many deep fried... More
