Best meal in Pizzo

My boyfriend and I went here based solely on TripAdvisor reviews and weren't disappointed. We have been for a family dinner and I should split my overall score in 3 parts: Amazing location with a fantastic view Good food but very depending on the dishes Disappointing service especially considering that the restaurant was not really full. I'd give it another try after the vacation time

The setting was very nice. The menu was interesting but the products used where cheap. Main fish options were swordfish and sea bass,in southern Italy you can do much better. They also only were willing to make me one type of gluten free pasta which contained swordfish. I am pregnant and can not have swordfish. The service was good when... More

Ristorante San Domenico was our supreme dining experience in Pizzo. The ambience was relaxed. The view of the coast was amazing. The service was attentive and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. One person in our party had to eat gluten free and our waiter went to the kitchen twice to make sure that all her selections were prepared... More

The restaurant is very well located with a splendid view on the coast of Pizzo. We followed the suggestions of the cook and had as a starter a burger of tuna and as main course spaghetti con allice. The meal was delicious and very well prepared. We will certainly come back another time!

Last week during our holiday, my husband and I dined out in Pizzo in 3 separate occasions, and in 3 different restaurants. We found Restorante San Domineco to be the best of the 3. I'm not saying the other restaurants were bad. On the contrary! What makes this restaurant stand out above the others is the creativity of the chef... More

If you want to try something special, elegant, tasty and Calabrian you have to go to San Domenico! Chef Bruno has created a special menu you will not forget... He mixes tradition and his imagination creating sublime dishes that will tingle your own fantasy. Definitely a must try if you happen to be in Pizzo!

The food and location (sunset in the evening over the cosy bay) are awesome. Had 3 different sets a la carte (antipasti - primi- secondi) to share and each one turned out delicios and oftentimes in unexpected combinations. It's all about seafood. For the 2 adults of the family of 4 it took 2 bottles of white wine (different) to... More

Excellent food. Tasteful cookery. Elegant dishes presentation. Very kind the owners and beatiful the view from the terrace. Unbeatable quality vs price ratio. Simply perfect!!!

This restaurant had such a heavenly view at sunset, our party was speechless. My very special anchovy appetizer and pasta entrée are still on my mind almost a year later. One of our entrees did not arrive (blame it on our feeble Italian) and rather than rush it's preparation, they did it properly - and it was worth the wait.... More
