New Asian Village in St Albert Trail

This is the new name of ex-Haweli. Real East Indian restaurant, not a "fusion" like we see a lot ultimately. We went for the buffet at 7:30 on a Friday night, which really isn't that late for dinner. The buffet seemed to be smaller than some of the other locations. The food was very tasty but some items needed to be replenished and that didn't happen. There wasn't any chicken left in the Butter Chicken, just sauce, and only a... More

Recently renamed to New Asian Village. We normally make a point of going out to the Edmonton West End Asian Village so when the one opened in St Albert we decided to give it a try. The Tandoori Chicken as well as the Butter Chicken were wonderful. We felt that there was a very well rounded selection of hot foods... More

We love Indian food, so were looking forward to eating at the New Asian Restaurant (which used to be the Haweli). And we were not disappointed. The buffet was tasty with lots of variety -- lamb, chicken, and vegies with many different flavors. The salad bar looked very nice but we filled our plates with the hot dishes instead. Lots... More

Thanks to the staff and especially our server, Patrick our family had a calm, relaxing family birthday gathering here. From the moment we were greeted until our departure and we spent 2 hours just talking and eating, we felt particularly well served in such an non-intrusive way. The buffet was a great way to suit all our dining desires!!

Went with a party of friends 10 in all. This is now New Asia Restaurant. It is the second time I have eaten at one and been disappointed both times. Here some of the party had the buffet and some ordered A'La Carte. The buffet was sparse despite it being only 8pm on a Saturday night and nothing special to... More

I walked from my hotel for dinner at found that there was a buffet special on. I am not an expert on Indian food by any means but I really enjoyed this buffet. There was a good variety and all was piping hot with lots of different flavours. My biggest mistake was not noticing the chocolate fountain for dipping the... More

What a great little find! The menu is even labeled with gluten free options including a bread. They also marked the low fat and vegetarian options. Something for everyone. The Tabdori chicken, vandelo beef, veg samosas and coconut rice were all excellent.
