Description: Prashad is an award winning Indian vegetarian restaurant in the heart of West Yorkshire. It is based in a renovated pub building in Drighlington, which has been transformed into an intimate and vibrant Gujarati eaterie. It features a large bar area where the in-house mixologist serves up perfectly-matched cocktails, locally-brewed beers and wines with roadside snacks and Indian tapas. There are three different dining areas and a snug that can be individually booked for private parties. The open pass kitchen brings the passionate Head Chef and her team closer to the customers. In the last 12 months alone we have been awarded the Morrisons Magazine Great Grub Award 2013, the Yorkshire Life Chef of the Year 2013 (which Minal and Kaushy won jointly), the Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand 2014, and the Yorkshire Evening Post Oliver Awards Best Indian Restaurant 2014!

Excellent gujarati veggie food - love the starters, "roadside snacks" and dosas... tend to avoid the main meals as not my bag. Wish the music was a bit more upbeat as it can be very traditional but hey ho. Great service and good management team.

From the pickles & drinks to the dessert this Prashad excelled from all angles. The food is of a quality I've not seen in much more expensive restaurants, with each and every dish being delivered exquisitely with high-quality ingredients spiced to perfection. Unlike many Indian restaurants, there was no grease and I was left feeling elated and energized after the meal... More

Only visited them once and it was an excellent experience. I am delighted to have visited them, as it is now on my favourites list. Friendly service, good food and yes, a good recommendation by Gordon Ramsay! - Ignore the little imperfections and you're having a fantastic feast of your life.

I've been a number of times and the staff are always really friendly and welcoming. The food is always delicious with so much choice. You don't find yourself missing meat from the meal at all. It was great to go with my foodie veggie friend and some others as it meant we could all share the dishes, rather than us... More

Driving back from the Lake District to Birmingham, I decided to visit Prashad having seen it on Gordon Ramseys F Word - premises looked lovely from the outside, slightly disappointing on the inside. Restaurant had one table occupied at the back and we given seats opposite the toilet!i was shocked!! if it was busy thats understandable, but not wanting to... More

I didnt actually eat in the restaurant but instead called them up on Thursday evening to order some outside catering for collection on Saturday at midday. They didnt demand payment over the phone and as soon as i arrived on the Saturday the food was all ready to collect. All the guests at my garden party commented on the taste... More

This is the sort of food you cannot leave on the plate, utterly delicious. We used to love the old Prashad and often visited as it was local : we were sceptical when the restaurant moved to bigger premises some way away. However, the humble rotlis alone make the restaurant well worth visiting, they just melt in the mouth. We... More

Great curry, speedy and attentive service. My wife was particularly impressed with the range of delicious mocktails as she was driving. The only not quite so brill was - they had a spicy garlic chips dish - bit soggy. Stick to the curry! Most of us want for the chefs thali - a selection of starters, means and a pudding... More

Heard some great things about Prashad and I have wanted to visit for some time. I knew it was vegetarian and although I do eat meat I was still eager to try. I have to say we were all totally disappointed. Me and my family have eaten curries all over the the uk and indeed all over the world and... More

The first thing to note is that Prashad is a meat free restaurant. In itself, that's not too bad (so long as you know before you go), the problem is that they charge more for vegetarian dishs than you would expect to pay for meat ones. Everything seems to be an extra, and it just wasn't worth it. £10+ for... More
