Description: Prashad is an award winning Indian vegetarian restaurant in the heart of West Yorkshire. It is based in a renovated pub building in Drighlington, which has been transformed into an intimate and vibrant Gujarati eaterie. It features a large bar area where the in-house mixologist serves up perfectly-matched cocktails, locally-brewed beers and wines with roadside snacks and Indian tapas. There are three different dining areas and a snug that can be individually booked for private parties. The open pass kitchen brings the passionate Head Chef and her team closer to the customers. In the last 12 months alone we have been awarded the Morrisons Magazine Great Grub Award 2013, the Yorkshire Life Chef of the Year 2013 (which Minal and Kaushy won jointly), the Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand 2014, and the Yorkshire Evening Post Oliver Awards Best Indian Restaurant 2014!

What a great experience. The meal was outstanding as was the service. Will definitely be returning in the not too distant future. We are vegetarian, my son being vegan, and he appreciated the fact that on the menu all the vegan dishes were clearly indicated.

The set christmas menu was excellent and at £25 gave good value for money Pickle today and popadoms : 5 starters (each). 3 currys with rolti and beetroot infused basmati rice followed by desert cinnamon cheesecake and cranberry ice cream. The service as usual was second to none and well worth a visit

My grown up daughter and I recently visited this restaurant on a Friday evening a couple of weeks before Christmas. We booked online, and arrived a little early. We were shown to our table immediately. The restaurant was fairly busy, but not uncomfortably so, and the atmosphere was good. We were looked after by a young man, whose name I... More

Pros: beautiful setting, helpful staff. The coconut sauce that came with the massala dosa was beautiful. The gujarati naan bread is divine, although it is so sweet it felt like a dessert rather than a main; with some ice cream it would have been perfect to finish the meal Cons: Bland food; yes, seriously. The dishes I ordered (and I... More

As you can see by the title, I am not naturally drawn to hot, spicy food, and I am certainly no veggie. And so, persuaded by my wife and a mutual friend to go here, I approached the experience with some wariness, my nervousness tempered by advice of this being one of the best in the business, although, I am... The papadums to start were good and the sauces with them very nice. They have a interesting selection of bottled beers, including German beers. The mixed starter was fairly good, although the pastry was partly too hard. The main courses were a bit uninspired - things like chick-pea curry, aubergine curry, cauliflower and carrot curry, etc and were not significantly... More

Been quite a few times to previous location and always enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. First visit to new restaurant and it just got better.

Have eaten there twice in last few weeks. Food is so good that we bought their recipe book. That is recommended too! If you go there for the first time, may we suggest the Thal.

Had intended to try this restaurant when it was still located in Bradford. It has now moved to Drighlington. I met some friends there for a meal in November. It is a fully vegetarian/vegan restaurant. The car parking is good for early evening, although I'm sure it gets full on busy nights and over the weekend. We had a choice... More
