Nice place for a pit stop

Pleasant stop for lunch on way to Dambulla. Choice of buffet or a la carte. Both looked good. Seating outside a and inside. A mix of local and international food. Popular so would recommend getting there early as service slows as crowds build up.

Stopped for a late lunch on the way from Dambulla to Colombo. They had a lunch buffet and the option of a la carte. Lovely location, overlooking a paddy field, and the restaurant is set up like a little Sri Lankan village. A very relaxing place. Very friendly and attentive staff, and most importantly, clean bathrooms :) The lunch buffet... More

Conveniently located for travellers to and from the Central Province. The food is good and there's a decent spread. The service is good and the place is clean overall. The theme is outdoorsy/village, which can be a bit too warm or dusty at times.

We stopped off on the long and tiring trip between Colombo and Kandalama where we would be staying for a few nights. This is a peaceful cafe / restaurant with meals or sandwiches on offer, served by polite waiters in a very pleasant setting. The smoothie / fruit juice was most refreshing with no added ice or water Lastly, the... More

A welcome stopping place for refreshments on the long journey from Comombo to Habarana. After a 10 hour flight this was our first stop in Sri Lanka and we both enjoyed the setting of this little out-door restaurant where we sat overlooking fields and a little brook abundant with wildlife. On our return trip away from Habarana we stopped there... More

We stopped here on our way from Columbo airport to Habarana. It was suggested by our driver, and after a long flight a meal was needed. We had 2 sandwiches and fruit juices, they were good and prices were reasonable. Best part of the meal was the coleslaw it was lovely. Fly spray recommended as its in the parry fields.

We stopped here for lunch based on our drivers recommendation. The ambience is lovely with a traditional village feel to the buildings. The views are of a paddy field and a small brook. We were ushered to outdoor seating right next to the bussing station. The waiters suggested the buffet, we had a look and was disappointed to see that... More

Having travelled from the Elephant Sanctuary at Pinnawela with heavy and slow traffic, we were ready for lunch and so to drive into Saruketha and receive a warm welcome was a pleasant surprise. We were seated immediately and served our drink order quite quickly. We declined the buffet which our waiter was keen for us to inspect and ordered from... More

It is a hotel with heart warming Sri Lankan hospitality staffed with people who has a passion for the industry. Saruketha is filled with Sri Lankan cultural elements of the typical dry zone and it has the capability to serve quality food for any one who is on their way across colombo and middle of the island via Kurunegala -...
