Just loved it. Got there late, but the restaurant was almost full. Followed the maitre suggestions (both the daily special and his advice not to ask for one more appetizer) and he truly knows what he sells. Can't remember the dishes as it was more than two months ago, but the cecina one is a must.

We have eaten twice in this restaurant in the past couple of days. Both times it was great. One of the specialties was the 'ensalada de tomate con bonito escabechado'. Extremely well done this dish. Bonito is the small tuna caught in the Cantabrian Sea, which was pickled, but in a very refined way. As an amuse bouche, a cream... More

Serrano restaurant is not much to look at from the outside and doesn't standout but it's a different story inside. The young chef came out and explained the menu, made suggestions and the food and service was excellent

Recomendable 100% It is... More

We stayed in Astorga when biking part of the camino de santiago and stumbled across the Restaurante Serrano. What a find. Felt like we had seen the light at last!!! Excellent food (probably our best food on the Camino); lovely waiter who was friendly and professional; excellent ambience and superb value. We left happy pilgrims. Muchas gracias!

Another great dinning experience on our Camino adventure. Not everyone doing the Camino has to eat like a poor pilgrim! For as long as there have been poor pilgrims walking the Camino ... There have been kings and queens dinning on gourmet food! So if you want to eat like a King/Queen try our Serrano! You don't have to bring... More

The waiter was very friendly, food was delicious, beautifully located. I went there by myself after a long day cycling the camino and had a wonderful experience. Highly reccomend!

Astorga isn't what I consider a diner's paradise, but Serrano rises above the rest. Helpful, friendly staff and a menu that specializes in mushrooms. (We saw a 12x12 inch Boletus!) A bit pricey, but well-located and nicely appointed.
