A hidden gem and dog friendly too!

Quite delightful, very welcoming, wonderful setting, food and service. To top it all they are dog friendly - very welcome at all times, but especially when it's simply too warm to leave your dog in the car and you are in need of refreshment. To top it all they are dog friendly - very welcome at all times, but especially when it's simply too warm to leave your dog in the car and you are in need of refreshment. Couldn't fault it, sat in the garden, treated ourselves to a beautifully presented cream tea each.... More

I've driven past the signs for the wishing well tearooms a number of times and today we decided to try it finally. The weather was wet and miserable but the place was welcoming and beautiful. We got scones, teacake, lemon and lime cake, orange cake, coffee cake and ginger cake. And teas. (Yes a lot of cake!) They all tasted... More

Whilst this tea room is right on the main road it is hidden from view (and most noise) by a large hedge. There is a lovely garden with a beautiful view of the south downs and the food is very good. You might have a little wait for sandwiches as they are made fresh but you can enjoy the view... More

Myself and my colleague stopped off here having seen the sign for a break on our journey, and it was simply wonderful on all levels. The food was delicions (with good size portions), lovely coffee, and the pretty garden and art displayed in the cafe were also fantastic. We love places like this, that are run for the love of... My husband and I visited Wishing Well Tearoom this afternoon. Met with a very warm and friendly welcome. A pot of tea scone/tea cake tasted lovely. Beautifully presented. We sat in the garden which was glorious being a hot sunny afternoon, with a stunning view of part of the South Downs. This tea room is a little gem. A must... More

Found The Wishing Well Tearoom on Trip Advisor and we're really glad we did! Lovely staff, excellent fresh food, wonderful-looking homemade cakes and a 5-star hygiene rating - the place was spotlessly clean. The tearoom itself is a modern building but the interior decor is country style and a very nice place to be. There's a lovey garden too with... More

Living just a few miles away, I was surprised to find this place on Trip Advisor with some excellent reviews across the board. We arrived with high hopes. Upon entering the tea room, we were welcomed by the most charming gentleman. Two pots of tea, a panini and jacket potatoe later I am delighted to confirm that the food was... More

This little gem of a place is all too easy to pass by, but when you do decide to go down the lane off the main road - well what a find! We were recommended to this tea room by a friend and decided to go there for a Bank Holiday light lunch. The people are so friendly and the... More
