Best fish and chip shop going

Great service from Tony and his staff. Fantastic food - we travel 16 miles (32 mile round trip) from our home to go here, they are that good! Everything is cooked fresh and is great; fish, chips, pies and especially the dabs - it's always a really tough decision what to have but usually end up with... read more

My wife and I visited Grandma Pollard's for lunch with my father and his partner on their recommendation and weren't disappointed. The place is easy to find and well signed on the main road between Todmorden and Littleborough. There is a huge car park to the rear, just over the canal bridge and you have the option of eating by... More

We have heard so much about Grandma Pollards that we were expecting a lot. We were up in the North visiting and as we were there and the restaurant was open that night we booked a table. This is got to be a first for us, being welcomed by the customers. Ask if we had reserved and being told that's... More

Grandma Pollard's is a lovely place to visit. The food is always plentiful and reasonably priced. There is ample seating and an extra large car park. For those with a sweet tooth, the cakes are just brilliant. If I have one complaint, it's that they have a website but don't use it to inform customers of annual closures. We travelled... More

We called one lunchtime after a business call in the town and what a find, the staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble. This is such a find and the food was so fresh and tasty. We sat on the bus at the rear of the restaurant which was very quirky, loved it. After we finished our meal... More

This fish shop is so different. The owner Tony was a super cool man. He noticed I was watching as he took chips out of the serving section and threw them in the bin. Tony turned round and said to me, as they were new potatoes they soon went soft and that is why he threw them away. I pointed... More

I have to question a review that marks Grandma Pollards as terrible because of the lack of parking! I can only assume the reviewer didn't look across the canal at the clearly signposted, huge car park that is owned by Pollards. This car park is always open when the shop is and it is massive, it couldn't possibly have been... More

This fish and chip shop is out of this world. Just like how fish and chips should be. We wanted to take the grandchildren back this weekend but the only down side of this gem is that it is not open at weekend. Definitely worth the visit in the school holidays.
