Description: This is not an ordinary chip shop. There is a lovely resturant or an old bus to dine in. In summer eat outside or by the canal.Childrens menu and wide range of meat pies and puddings available. The vanilla slices are great as wellaethe fruit pies All home made. All avilable with tea/coffee, bread and butter. Just go in the chp shop, order and the meal is brought to you at your table. The service is excellent. It is an experience to dine in the bus usually accompanied by 60s/70s music in the backgrund. The bus can be hired for private parties. The shop is open Mon. and Tues till 3.30pm and Wed.Thurs.and Fri. till 8pm. Not open Sat and Sun. It really is an experience (very good one), and well worth a visit. The place is spotless. We have been going many years now and there .are many regulars. I would recommend the chippy for a very enjoyable experience.

We moved to the local area in August 2013, and have regularly had both takeaway fish and chips or eaten in the characterful restaurant typically a couple of times a month. The establishment is a family run business established 80 years with local character Tony the head frier. There are a supporting team of 6 plus typically fairly young staff... More

Visiting Todmorden and told that we had to have lunch at Granny P's. Glad we did. Excellent, friendly service, lovely fish and chips, free dab and they even came round with free refills of tea/coffee. Can't wait to visit again!

This is a traditional fish and chip shop, easy to find on the main road, currently with a lot of parking behind. Not my first visit You go up to the counter ,and order and pay for the meal - we had Haddock and Chips with mushy peas. This was of an excellent standard - up there with the best... More

Popped in for a bite to eat after having been recommended by a few people. Service was beyond bad - young girls texting and messing up orders then chatting to their mates. Fish wasn't great - quite expensive too, chips were ok. slightly unfair of me i guess to expect the kind of fish and chips id get in Aldeburgh... More

A family owned family run fish and chip restaurant/takeaway shop with an extensive menu including homemade cakes and pastries. . This is a "chippy" for the connoiseur.Everything is cooked to order. The fish is brought in fresh daily, beautifully cooked in a crisp light batter, even poached if required. Real chips, crisp on the outside, fluffy in the middle.....delicious!! Portions... More

This first visit to Grandma Pollards will not be our last. Our order was taken by a very attentive waitress and it being our first visit she explained what was available. We sat on the bus at the back of the restaurant and we looked out onto the picnic area by the canal. We will recommend this to family and... More

What a lovely experience. Our grand daughter loves to visit this place to sit in the bus eating fish and dabs. For a change I had a steak kidney pie with dabs. My wife had fish and mushy peas. They give you a few chips a dab. We always take home a vanilla (to share) can't manage it straight away.... More
