The Best Chippy in the UK - surely a contender !

The fish and chips really are excellent. I normally drive up from about 10 miles away on summer evenings perhaps once a month and yesterday found myself at the near by garden centre so called in. It was the first time I'd been and could get in the door. Normally its queued outside and is a 25/30 main wait from... More

Don't eat fish and chips very often, but when we do we always go to Grandma Pollards. It's a 3 mile drive from where I live, but it's worth it!

We visited today as it was a start of half term treat. We have been coming for years and always enjoyed the good god and courteous staff. Today, was a totally different experience. I hate to pick members of staff out but I really should bring to Tonys attention that the new middle age lady was so abrupt to us.... More

Having been recommended by friends we sought out Grandma Pollards chippy, good old fashioned fish n chips, mug of tea, bread n butter, food was good, service with a smile, what more could you want. (The cakes aren't too bad either

Super fish and chips. Freshly cooked to order. The queue of customers outside the door says it all. A quality eat-in or takeaway.

We moved to the local area in August 2013, and have regularly had both takeaway fish and chips or eaten in the characterful restaurant typically a couple of times a month. The establishment is a family run business established 80 years with local character Tony the head frier. There are a supporting team of 6 plus typically fairly young staff... More

Visiting Todmorden and told that we had to have lunch at Granny P's. Glad we did. Excellent, friendly service, lovely fish and chips, free dab and they even came round with free refills of tea/coffee. Can't wait to visit again!
