After School Treat

Popped in as a treat for my Son after school, the food was ok, very small potions for the prices charged. The child's portion was bigger than a small fish and chips, the fish was dry but chips were OK. Probably won't go back as the prices put us off for what you get.

Grandma Pollards is one of the best fish & chip restaurants in Britain. There is a wonderful atmosphere in the shop created by the banter between owner and fish fryer Tony and his customers. The fish and chips are superb but it's worth trying the wonderful pies which are all homemade. You'll probably be full up after that but you... More

No one should pass through Todmorden without paying a visit to this chip shop with its pies and home made cakes.... Truly an eventful place on the canal. You can either sit in the concervatory or on the old bus in the yard..

called in last night for a good old fish supper. Although we only live about half a mile away we had never dined in. We had a lovely supper in the conservatory, We could have had it sat in an old bus or in the front room of the cottage. Great food and the scallops are to die for!!!!

I really don't get why people rave about this chippy. My experience is of average fish and chips, pies that dont have enough flavour or seasoning, expensive and disorganised service. I've had much nicer fish and chips locally.

best eaten straight away, don't take them home if you live far wrapped up, as the fresh hot chips steam and take away that crispness. The meat pies are not your usual mass produced shape and are well seasoned and very tasty. I have only been using it for 19 years, Tony and his family served Oliver Cromwell on his... More

Fantastic fish and chips! But the indoor eating area is so cramped you couldn't move if someone was behind you, didn't go on the bus but was told it was full. If you eat in the prices are alot more than if you takeaway. Like the fact that they come and re-fill your hot drinks. Would definatley reccommend and will... More
