We have eaten many times at this restaurant and it has always been really good. Ambience is good both outside and inside, food is great and staff really nice and professional. Food is always beautiful, tasty and reasonably priced as well. Not all waiters have the best English but you can menu in English and always try to be helpful.... More

Midweek “Formule déjeuner” is really excellent value: €21.50, includes amuse-bouche, main course, dessert and a glass of wine + coffee. Other menus start to look quite pricey by comparison, but the standard of cooking, the setting and the service are all high quality. We visited a few years ago but everything was very formal (no shorts except around the pool,... More

Moulin de la Camandoule is a restaurant we happily visited several times a year until an unhappy experience (quality of service rather than food) around three years ago. Invited to go with a group we visited again recently and can say that both the food and the service are back to excellent.

On a crisp, clear autumn Provence day we went to Moulin de la Camandoule, L'Escourtin for a delicious lunch. There really is nothing to fault, food, wine and ambience are all fantastic. We had the formule, at €20.50 which really is a steal. I had trout on lemon risotto which was delicious, as was the apple crumble for dessert. It... More

We went there several time for lunch. They do a "formule" at 20,50 with main course, dessert an a glass of wine. To sum up : just what you expect from a good french restaurant. The cook, M. Choisy, surely knows what he does. Everything from start till end is tastefull. Service is outstanding. And the athmosphere on garden terrace...... More

Since 1999 when we moved to Fayence we have enjoyed this restaurant's steady progress from being an above average restaurant to now one of the best value-for-money restaurants in the east Var. On 26 April we had an excellent lunch. Their menu of the day included either a bouillabaisse or a piece of pan seared duck breast. Both dishes were... More

We had dinner here this evening, October 26th, which was a recommendation from our hotel at Terre Blanche. The overall experience was fantastic. Great setting, excellent service and delicious food. And very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

This is an old mill and part of an hotel which looks superb and you can stay there too. The restaurant is definitely worth a visit whilst in Fayence. Service is excellent and the food is too. This is a proper dress up and go out maybe for a special occasion. You have extra sample courses and the cheese board... More

We had dinner in the garden of this charming restaurant. Very good food. Friendly service. And all of this at reasonable prices. My first course was a kind of mousse of haddock with spinach and a creamy sauce.Light and refreshing. The menu has many different options and each dish was very tasty. My wife also had the cheese platter. It... More

Thank you for your advice and compliments on our house, we hope to see you again, in our beautiful Mill. I just wanted to clarify something on our cheese plate. It is not correct to say that it is just impressive, but the quality is not good. your visit was in the month of summer, if we put on our... More

We had the misfortune to choose the Moulin de la Camandoule last night 25th May 2009 for a meal with friends. From the minute of arrival it was clear that the staff had no interest in providing good service. The food when it was presented was tastless and bland. A bouche amusee of Melon Soup was nothing short of disgusting.... More

Sir, Thank you for your opinion about our restaurant. Upon arrival at 18:00 for a drink, we explained that the restaurant opens at 19:00 and we do not have a bar. We have laws that explain France forbidden to serve alcohol if the restaurant is not open. You were unfortunately very insulting to our country. You said true "From the... More
