You can't expect 5 star reviews with such a limited menu. OK it's mid September but the only option was a 3 course Plat de Jour at 27€ And there were only three options. Heaven help the Vegetarians here but luckily us carnivores were fine. Others have commented on the knuckle of lamb which I liked too, though it is... More

Our first night in Fayence, booked Le Bis on strength of other reviews. We sat outside on the terrace and enjoyed some terrific food. Our main courses (duck confit and knuckle of lamb) were both melt in the mouth tender and extremely tender as well as being well presented. A limited menu choice but what they do have they do... So good we ate here twice in one week. lovely friendly owner who indulged us in local knowledge and wines.. Food very tasty and the tomato and mozzarella salad ( I know not difficult) but one of the best I have eaten. The confit duck amazing and the fig compote really tasty. Worth a visit, not a massive menu but... More

The foie gras and it's pan d'épice are just incredible and the duck is the best I've ever eaten. The place is very pleasant, small and very charming terrace. The owners are very nice and welcoming people and talk French, English and Spanish. The prices are very ok (<30 Eur/person, 3 plates) for such high quality products. Merci encore pour... More

The service at this small restaurant was superb where each customer is made to feel they are special. The food is of a high standard and the range on the menu although limited is good to please most. Overall, a thoroughly pleasant evening in a great setting.

........dropped in last week, we hadn't reserved (naughty since the place is so small) but we were welcomed warmly albeit with a certain amount of uncertainty as regards language (polyglots all .....we allowed the hostess to practise her English on us...she did quite well and produced a pot of coquillos which we devoured without too much ceremony as an aperitif;... Enjoyed lovely evening supper here. Had set menu, ordering 6 seperate dishes between us. Host was helpful and very friendly. Try the foiegras and gingerbread to start. The gingerbread was really the best ive had! Even the amuse boushe, olive tapenade and bread was delicious. Perfect for a casual good value supper in lovely setting!

Lovely setting, small restaurant with the most charming host but that's where it ended. Poor service combined with great ingredients but poor cooking skills. Would love to try again but at a gamble. Wine quality poor regardless of budget !!!

Family run restaurant and well worth a visit. Good sized portions and service. Try the house wine which is good and better value than bottles. Sat outside as the sun went down with a warm glow of satisfaction! Fayence is a lovely town, don't miss the short walk to the old windmill at the top of the hill where one... More

We had a healthy and tasty simple lunch at Le Bis, the owner chef was a great guy, made us very welcome, a delicious house rose complemented our lunch on intimate little terrace setting on a side street in Fayence. Will definitely go again.
