What Great Food.

What a excellent meal this was. It was really a home cooked meal made with much love. I tasted it in every bite. The service was top notch, friendly and attentive. It was highly recommended by several people that live in town and also by the tourist office too. My favoriet was the Lemon Meringue... read more

This place shouted at us to stop and it was great with a large breakfast very good value. Not so sure about the fried banana though! I'd be keen to go back for lunch or dinner as the menu looked good and the breakfast was well done. Once done you can look around their nice ornament/crockery/stuff shop at the front

Had a Seafood salad....loads of prawns, mussels and calamari. The salad was fresh and crunchy, good value for a big portion. Have eaten here 3 times before and once again Julians delivered on good quality and value for money.

What a brilliant find! Ate here several times, breakfast lunch and supper and service and quality was superb every single time. But beware, portions are huuuge, so pace yourselves :-) lamb chops are delicious and the traditional side dishes a winner

Having been guided by other customers good reviews we were not disappointed, great variety on the menu we struggled to choose in the end I had the most beautiful steak cooked to perfection and my partner had the morrocan veg pastry, portions were plentiful the accompanied bread was also delicious, nice glass of house white wine. Service was swift and... More

A spur of the moment trip to Bredarsdorp from Cape Town for a birthday/valentine's day celebration brought us to Julian's. A walk through a pottery shop (beautiful kitchenware available at a reasonable price) lead us into a beautiful restaurant decorated with lovely artwork for sale. The owner and waitresses are friendly and efficient. We had fillet and lamb shank. The... More

Despite a power cut the food was almost all available as they have gas ovens and a generator. The paraffin lamp was a smelly necessity until the power came back on. The menu is confusing as it covers snack through to full restaurant items. Once one has worked out which sections applies the choice is good. It was good too.... More

We had dinner at Julians while staying in Bredasdorp, and although our meal was very pleasant, I'm not quite sure what all the fuss is about. The setting and atmosphere is lovely, the restaurant is split in 2 sections with the smoking section in the bar area which is separated from the non-smoking section by a courtyard with a water... A big thank you to Liz and Julian, and also grateful to our guest house owner (Anne-Mare) for recommending Julian's. Firstly we misunderstood as we saw the corkage charged and assumed they didn't serve wine....our loss as they had an extensive wine list and we only had a bottle we'd bought from the local supermarket! Further on in our trip... More

i was blessed to dine at Julian's and ordered the house spare ribs, if you think the restaurant environment, drinks, staff, shop, stock and pure pleasure to visit was spectacular you had to taste the rib that was prepared for me. LIZZ, JULIAN and their daughter ROBIN went out of their way to make you feel at home. Honestly, only... More
