A surprise, gastronomically speaking. Una gradevole sorpresa.

Near Vivo d’Orcia, past Catiglion d’Orcia, coming from San Quirico d’Orcia…, you will find on the side of the road, the restaurant I Lecci. My wife and I went to I Lecci before Christmas, with two dear friends of ours who know well the family who runs the restaurant. The place is classic Tuscan beauty - we were there at night and I can only guess how much better it must be during the day. The food and wine were absolutely excellent. For example... More

Andreas is an excellent host, Anna an excellent cook. This is an outstanding restaurant. We went there five times in a month.

Brought food to our villa on the first night of our Honeymoon. Beautiful introduction to Tuscan food and wonderful service. Visited restaurant a couple nights later. The most amazing family/staff. So welcoming and friendly. Food was lovely, especially the boar and parpadelle. Lovely bottle of Nobile de Montelpuciano too.

Charming host and waitstaff who were patient with our lack of language skills and faster eating style. One of the best meals I had on the trip - the Cinta Senese steak was one of the most amazing pieces of meat I have ever eaten!! Delicious house wine and everything very reasonably priced. We really had a most excellent time!

We got the tip about this restaurant/agriturismo from a local bar owner. And we could not be more grateful! It is a bit out of the main tourist routes of Val d'Orcia, but you won't regret the detour: the place is peaceful, the signora is a master chef and her son an entertaining host. We were 3 couples and had... More

We stopped here whilst looking for lunch during a days drive between Sienna and Montepulciano on the Tuscan scenic roads. It was a working day, and we were initially the only guests. But that did not stop them pulling out all the charm and friendliness to welcome us - a fire was lit, we were sat in a nice corner... More

We came on bad weather day, so the outside seating area was sadly closed,so we couldn't enjoy the lovely view. But the interior is very nice too. Judged by the guests, this is more tourtisty place than a typical local ristorante. Also the prices are slightly above average. But - I must say we liked the food we were presented... More

My friends from Italy brought me here for dinner . They own a restaurant in near by Umbria and they just loved the views and the freshness off the food. When we first walked in there was a basket of fresh Puccini mushrooms picked that day. I don't usually et mushrooms but these were amazing and unlike anything you will... More

But I wouldn't go out of my way to try it. Andrea is charming and helpful, although he doesn't speak much English. The pasta with fresh porcini was lovely: tender and flavorful. Both secondi were overcooked and dry: lamb chops for me and rabbit for my wife. The house red wine was excellent. Apart from a pretty fireplace the physical... More
