We got the tip about this restaurant/agriturismo from a local bar owner. And we could not be more grateful! It is a bit out of the main tourist routes of Val d'Orcia, but you won't regret the detour: the place is peaceful, the signora is a master chef and her son an entertaining host. We were 3 couples and had... More

We stopped here whilst looking for lunch during a days drive between Sienna and Montepulciano on the Tuscan scenic roads. It was a working day, and we were initially the only guests. But that did not stop them pulling out all the charm and friendliness to welcome us - a fire was lit, we were sat in a nice corner... More

We came on bad weather day, so the outside seating area was sadly closed,so we couldn't enjoy the lovely view. But the interior is very nice too. Judged by the guests, this is more tourtisty place than a typical local ristorante. Also the prices are slightly above average. But - I must say we liked the food we were presented... More

My friends from Italy brought me here for dinner . They own a restaurant in near by Umbria and they just loved the views and the freshness off the food. When we first walked in there was a basket of fresh Puccini mushrooms picked that day. I don't usually et mushrooms but these were amazing and unlike anything you will... More

But I wouldn't go out of my way to try it. Andrea is charming and helpful, although he doesn't speak much English. The pasta with fresh porcini was lovely: tender and flavorful. Both secondi were overcooked and dry: lamb chops for me and rabbit for my wife. The house red wine was excellent. Apart from a pretty fireplace the physical... More

We drove to the restaurant from Monticchiello for lunch. Once there we enjoyed warm hospitality and a memorable meal. We started with a rich porcini soup followed by pasta with a black truffle sauce. We finished with gnocchetti verdi al gorgonzola. Each dish was wonderful, but my favorite was the gnocchetti. Following the meal we stop on our return drive... More

Rita is an amazing chef. Her pastas are lovingly hand made and all the ingredients are fresh and local. The prices are lower than one would expect and the atmosphere is welcoming.

Being local foodies, we try to find good food within an easy drive, and at the slopes of Monte Amiata in southern Tuscany, we certainly found it. At Ristorante I Lecci, it’s all very good, but they reach sublime heights with the home-made pasta, pappardelle and maltagliati, superb thin fresh melt-in-your-mouth pasta with delicious sauce of truffle-walnut cream or porcini...
