so glad having found it. we went two days in a row. best best best place we ever ate in colle. not necessary to mention the individual dishes, all were great. also, both the owner and her waitress were so nice, one felt like family. having said that, there is still some room for improvement, the organic coke ran out... I adore eating here-- with Tuscany so full of meat - Nicola's creative cooking with vegetables and grains is refershing. There is always a meat dish available on the menu and his wine selection if GREAT.

Was a very nice restaurant, good service (explained the menu from Italian to English). Good Rosato wine. Most of the food is vegetarian but everything is freshly made. The dessert (chocolate mousse with pears) is delicious.

It's so hard to find creative food which is also very healthy. This restaurant offers great selection of meat dishes but also lots of veggie ones. A very friendly couple run the place, it's easy to feel at home! to not be missed!!

What a find! We were staying near Colle di Val d'Elsa for a week and ate here three times. All the food and wines are organically produced and prepared with loving attention. The tasting dish of starters is outstanding and great value. The onion soup is the best we've ever tasted. Great atmosphere, very reasonably priced. Chiara and her front... More

After calling for 4 days in a row to be able to book a table, we finally made it to this little Biosteria, expecting something refreshing and wholesome based on all the stellar reviews the place has received so far. What we found instead is an overpriced, factitious attempt at originality that failed to put forward a single noteworthy dish.... More

That's amazing! It's one of the best "osteria" I ever been. There is passion and attention of details in each course. If you are around siena, I really suggest to visit sbarbacipolla. Don't forget to reserve a table if you don't want to wait, it's getting crowded and known day by day. Highly recommended.

The charming young hosts of this "biosteria" are a breath of fresh air to the food scene in this central Tuscan town. The seasonal vegetarian menu offers the best of fresh, local cuisine with creative flair. Great wine selections and friendly service. Artistic decor adds to the unique dining experience. I can't wait to return this summer!

Fantastic organic place, local foods. Food has lots of taste and is just barely salted (= sign of good quality). Good value for money, great local wine. Reserve table and set aside 2-3 hours as the concept includes "slow service". Peak with people 21ish.
